Looking for a relaxed coastal escape with your dog by your side? This modern lodge at Resort Callantsoog is just 500 metres from the wide sandy beach and the North Sea. Tucked away in a peaceful, car-free park, it’s the perfect base for a laid-back holiday in North Holland.

The single-storey lodge is inspired by the colourful tulip fields in the area. Fresh tones, big windows and plenty of natural light make the living space feel bright and airy. In the open-plan living room you’ll find a comfy seating area with smart TV, so you can unwind after a beach day with your favourite series or a family movie night.

The kitchen is fully equipped for easy holiday cooking, with a combination microwave, dishwasher and coffee machine. Start your day with a fresh coffee at the dining table and end it with a simple home-cooked meal or take-away from the beach pavilions nearby.

With two bedrooms and space for up to four guests, this lodge is ideal for couples, friends or a small family. The single level layout also makes it practical if you’re travelling with young kids or prefer to avoid stairs. The bathroom is modern and functional, so you can quickly freshen up before heading out again.

Dogs are very welcome here – you can bring up to two. Callantsoog is known as one of the most dog-friendly areas in North Holland. On the nearby beach you’ll find zones where dogs are allowed all year round, and there are beautiful walking routes through the Zwanenwater nature reserve. In the area, you’ll also find fun, seasonal dog events like beach clean-ups and casual meet-ups for dog lovers.

After a long walk through the dunes or along the shoreline, relax together on your own private veranda. It’s a lovely spot to sit back with a drink while your four-legged friend naps at your feet.

Craving something tasty? In the village and on the beach you’ll find cosy spots like Strandpaviljoen De Toko and Woest, where dogs are welcome on the terrace and water bowls are ready. Fresh seafood, Dutch classics and sea views are all within easy reach.

Good to know: the holiday park is officially fireworks-free. Fireworks are not allowed on New Year’s Eve and the park checks this, although there may still be some fireworks in the wider surroundings.

    We arrived very late and unfortunately it was only 16 degrees in the apartment. It would be nice if the heating was turned on before arrival. On the other hand, it was warm when we checked out!

    We kwamen erg laat aan en helaas was het in het appartement maar 16 graden. Het zou fijn zijn als de verwarming al voor aankomst aangezet zou worden. Aan de andere kant was het warm toen we uitcheckten!

    Wie waren erst sehr spät da , leider war es in der Wohnung 16 Grad kalt. Wäre schön, wenn man vor der Anreise die Heizung einschalten würde. Dafür war es beim Auschecken warm!!!

    The accommodation was generally good, but it lacked shelves and other storage space, especially in the living room. Many items had to be stored on the floor or on the small dining table. Major appliances like the stove, refrigerator and dishwasher were high quality, but the small, complicated coffee maker was an unmitigated disaster. The bathroom and bedrooms were fine and the beds were acceptable. Only the completely dirty (disgustingly dirty) couch was a disgrace. Sufficient for two people, but with four people you would not be able to live there.

    De accommodatie was over het algemeen goed, maar er ontbraken planken en andere opbergruimte, vooral in de woonkamer. Veel spullen moesten op de vloer of op de kleine eettafel worden opgeborgen. Grote apparaten zoals het fornuis, de koelkast en de vaatwasser waren van hoge kwaliteit, maar het kleine, ingewikkelde koffiezetapparaat was een regelrechte ramp. De badkamer en slaapkamers waren prima en de bedden waren acceptabel. Alleen de compleet vieze (walgelijk vieze) bank was een schande. Voldoende voor twee personen, maar met vier personen zou je er niet kunnen wonen.

    Overall, the accommodation was good, but there was a lack of shelves and other storage space, especially in the living area. Many things had to be stored on the floor or on the dining table, which was too small. Large appliances such as stove, refrigerator and dishwasher were of high quality, only the small, complicated coffee machine was a disaster. Bathroom and bedrooms were fine, beds acceptable. Only the totally soiled (disgustingly dirty) sofa was an imposition. Sufficient for 2 people, you can't live there with 4 people.

    Die Behausung war insgesamt gesehen gut, allerdings fehlten - vor allem im Wohnbereich Regale und weitere Ablageflächen. Vieles mußte auf dem Fußboden oder dem zu kleinen Eßtisch gelagert werden. Großgeräte wie Herd, Kühlschrank oder Geschirrspüler waren hochwertig, nur die kleine, komplizierte Kaffeemaschine war eine einzige Katastrophe. Bad und Schlafräume waren in Ordnung, Betten akzeptabel. Lediglich das total versiefte (ekelhaft schmutzige) Sofa war eine Zumutung. Für 2 Personen ausreichend, mit 4 Personen kann man da nicht leben.

    The accommodation is functional and pleasantly furnished. However, the chairs are not comfortable. For the price, we would have preferred more comfortable chairs. The beds are good! The location in relation to the sea is great, as it is only a short walk away.

    De accommodatie is functioneel en prettig ingericht. De stoelen zijn echter niet comfortabel. Voor de prijs hadden we liever comfortabelere stoelen gehad. De bedden zijn goed! De ligging ten opzichte van de zee is geweldig, want het is maar een klein stukje lopen.
