Safari lodge Gazelle - 6 persons

The rooms are pretty average, nothing special. There's a dike nearby which is great for walking. Pets are welcome and the whole set up is really kid-friendly as it features many playgrounds, round tables, a gate that prevents them from falling down the stairs, toys and a cute design. There are rabbits in the garden which has direct access to water channels (that contain fish that can be fished without license but have to be returned). Overall it's pretty calm and chill here. Make sure to get soap and other hygien products as they're not provided (at least in our case). There are some ponies and sheeps nearby, it's fun to simply watch them. We arrived late as there was traffic jam but we've been assured there's always a way to safely get in without worrying, helpful and friendly!

The park itself offers a variety of activities for all ages, from playgrounds to sports facilities. The location of the park is also ideal for exploring the surrounding area. We went on lovely trips in the surrounding area and were amazed by the beauty of the landscape. The bike rental "De Kerker" was also very well organized. We could easily rent bikes and explore the surroundings. A particular plus point was that the staff were very friendly and helpful and also spoke very good German. We had no problems communicating and were helped with all our questions and concerns. Overall, we can highly recommend Ferienpark Ijselhof. We would love to come back!"

Good to know when staying at Ijselhof Vacation Park:
- Staying in a Safari Lodge is highly recommended. The tents are located a bit apart from the vacation park itself. Perfect for peace, quiet, and nature!
- There are plenty of spots where you can fish, both near your accommodations and in general areas throughout the park. A great place for fishing enthusiasts.
- The park offers swimming facilities, but keep in mind that this is a basic pool. It has a 25-meter lane and a toddler pool. It’s not suitable for children to swim for hours on end.
- The small grocery store is currently closed. Fortunately, there’s one 5 km away. But it’s good to know!
- The park’s restaurants offer plenty of choices at reasonable prices.
- The indoor play area “De Boerderij” is mainly for the little ones.
It’s not a “real” indoor playground. It’s more of a space set up with toys for the little ones and a bouncy castle.
- In the morning, you can enjoy some arts and crafts at the Clubhouse.
Just be aware that there’s a €5 fee for materials.
That’s perfectly normal, but it isn’t mentioned in the information.
- Our daughter went to the horse ranch every day. It was a truly fantastic activity. She took her first riding lessons there.

This is our third vacation here in a row, and once again, it feels a bit like coming home. ❤️

The IJsselhof Villa Vacation Park is truly a wonderful place for us. My son can fish to his heart’s content all day long here and has had an amazing catch 🎣. So he’s having a great time, and I… I finally have the peace and quiet to finish reading my books. 😉📚

What I especially appreciate is that the park really takes its guests into consideration. There’s plenty for the kids to do every day, while parents can go about their own business and enjoy some peace and quiet.

The atmosphere is relaxed, the park is well-maintained, and you can tell they care about their guests. For us, it’s become a place where we know we’re both on vacation: my son with his fishing rod and me with my peace and quiet. ❤️🎣📖

The fact that this is our third time here really says it all. We love coming back here and hope we’ll get to enjoy this lovely spot many more times!
