Zandvoort

Within walking distance of the park is Zandvoort Circuit, one of Europe's best-known racing circuits. In addition to the annual Formula 1 race, events, races and track days are organised here throughout the year. Even outside race days, it is well worth a visit. Walk along the circuit or experience the unique atmosphere of this iconic location on the Dutch coast for yourself.

Less than a twenty-minute drive away is Haarlem, one of the most beautiful historic cities in the Netherlands. Stroll through atmospheric streets, admire monumental canal-side buildings and visit the Grote Markt with its impressive St Bavo's Church. Art and history enthusiasts can visit the Frans Hals Museum, where works by the famous Dutch master are displayed, or the Teylers Museum, the oldest museum in the Netherlands. Here, you can discover a remarkable collection of art, fossils, minerals and scientific instruments. Bordering Zandvoort is South Kennemerland National Park, an extensive nature reserve with dunes, forests, dune lakes and open grasslands. Walk or cycle along the many routes and enjoy the varied landscapes, where you may regularly encounter Scottish Highland cattle, Konik horses, fallow deer and countless bird species. Thanks to its combination of broad sandy dunes, quiet forests and viewpoints overlooking the North Sea, this is one of the most beautiful natural areas on the Dutch coast. Along the way, you will pass historic estates and peaceful picnic spots where you can take a break. Whether you choose a short walk or a long bike ride, South Kennemerland National Park offers plenty of opportunities to experience nature up close.
