Zandvoort Circuit

Within walking distance of the park is Zandvoort Circuit, one of Europe's best-known racing circuits. In addition to the annual Formula 1 race, events, races and track days are organised here throughout the year. Even outside race days, it is well worth a visit. Walk along the circuit or experience the unique atmosphere of this iconic location on the Dutch coast for yourself.

Historic Haarlem and remarkable museums

Less than a twenty-minute drive away is Haarlem, one of the most beautiful historic cities in the Netherlands. Stroll through atmospheric streets, admire monumental canal-side buildings and visit the Grote Markt with its impressive St Bavo's Church. Art and history enthusiasts can visit the Frans Hals Museum, where works by the famous Dutch master are displayed, or the Teylers Museum, the oldest museum in the Netherlands. Here, you can discover a remarkable collection of art, fossils, minerals and scientific instruments. Between cultural highlights, you can enjoy extensive shopping in the lively city centre or settle down at one of the many terraces. Haarlem therefore offers a perfect combination of culture, history and Burgundian conviviality.

South Kennemerland National Park

Bordering Zandvoort is South Kennemerland National Park, an extensive nature reserve with dunes, forests, dune lakes and open grasslands. Walk or cycle along the many routes and enjoy the varied landscapes, where you may regularly encounter Scottish Highland cattle, Konik horses, fallow deer and countless bird species. Thanks to its combination of broad sandy dunes, quiet forests and viewpoints overlooking the North Sea, this is one of the most beautiful natural areas on the Dutch coast. Along the way, you will pass historic estates and peaceful picnic spots where you can take a break. Whether you choose a short walk or a long bike ride, South Kennemerland National Park offers plenty of opportunities to experience nature up close.

Summary created out of 112 reviews

The park enjoys an excellent location between the beach and Circuit Zandvoort, with modern lodges nestled in the dunes just 100 meters from the sea. Guests appreciate the central position, stylish interior design and friendly staff, plus a well-stocked shop at reception. However, there are significant complaints about cleanliness upon arrival, with reports of dirt, dust, used dishes and even sanitary issues—unacceptable at these price points. Basic amenities like soap are missing, heating and wifi cause problems, and guests miss the now-closed restaurant and kids' club that are still advertised.

The value for money isn’t quite right. Unfortunately, we weren’t able to check into the house until around 4:15 p.m. on the day of our arrival. The house wasn’t entirely clean. Cars were constantly parked on the access roads in the park, so we had to carry our suitcases and other belongings from the parking lot to the house. Any delivery or cleaning vehicles were too loud at night (especially the beep when backing up). One of the steering wheels on the racing simulator in the house was defective, but a staff member later replaced it with a new one.

Stayed for 2 weeks coming from the UK. Had a fabulous time and lots to do in the local area and very easy to get around. Some points to note:
Lodges can get VERY hot, especially with the heat wave of 2026. They provided fans but its very difficult to cool down the upstairs rooms, I think if you complain you will get AC as our neighbour had a unit.
Bottom sheets fly off the beds every night, no idea why they don't use fitted bottom sheets, you have to make your bed every day as the protectors seem to repel the sheets.
Fresh towels every 4 days but they didn't remove the old ones so we were drowning in towels by the end of the stay.
Only cleaned our room on day 10/14 (and gave us more towels) wish it could have been earlier.
Wifi - fine during the day but no signal in the evenings when I assume everyone trying to use it. They have chromecast but as it was on one wifi network you could see what other houses are watching and turn off their shows and it felt like people did this to us all the time and it was really annoying.
Look around the beach cafes as such a variation in price and quality, some were so expensive but awful and others much tastier and cheaper! Hard to get salads or vegetables though.
All in all we had a good stay, beach super close but tricky crossing the road with young kids as some cars race past.

A beautiful, new vacation home in the dunes, just a stone's throw from the beach. The house has a smart layout and is fully equipped. I'll definitely be back.

Mooi en nieuw vakantiehuis in de duinen op een steenworp afstand van het strand. Het huis is slim ingedeeld en van alle gemakken voorzien. Ik ga zeker nog eens terug.
