The Hill Lodge is a new luxury 4-bed accommodation. In a world where enough is considered the ideal, we strive for a life with fewer distractions and more focus on what really matters. The Swedes call this "Lagom" - just enough. This has led to this beautiful accommodation, with no frills, pure forms and natural materials. The park is beautifully situated in the middle of the forest and offers an enormous amount of play facilities for children. Guests are particularly enthusiastic about the excellent animation team, the varied range of playgrounds spread across the park, and the friendliness of the staff. The swimming pool with slides and the indoor play area (Giga Konijnenhol) are absolute crowd favorites, as is the large water playground that is hugely popular with children up to around 10 years old. The sanitary facilities are consistently cleaned and appreciated for their cleanliness.

    If our 3-year-old son could have written a review, he would definitely have given it 5 stars across the board. He really enjoyed this vacation! We stayed for a week, and the campground is really beautiful. There’s a fun indoor playground, the pool is great, and the entertainment program is very well organized. The staff is friendly, and even after a few issues, they handled everything smoothly and resolved the problems.

    We were on a site with an oak tree. I think this spot is almost never occupied, except during peak season. The site was still very dirty, and there were cigarette butts left behind by the previous guest. The site was also completely covered with pinecones and acorns, which I think were left over from last year. It would have been nice if these had been cleared away with a leaf blower before our arrival, especially since the other sites were clean. There were also stinging nettles and a blackberry bush around the water outlet and faucet. The kids got stung a few times.

    I also found the pool to be very crowded. It was packed with people. It was impossible to swim or just float quietly in the pool without bumping into someone every three seconds. Fortunately, the kiddie pool was a bit quieter for the little ones. We didn’t use any lounge chairs the entire vacation—there’s a real shortage of them, or you have to reserve your spot first thing in the morning.

    I was also very disappointed with the restrooms. The toilets were often dirty, especially the women’s ones (from what I’ve heard). There was often a line to use the restroom, a line to wash dishes, and a line for the washing machines, which also broke down frequently.

    Other than that, we had a really nice vacation. If we’d been at a different location, we might have enjoyed it even more.

    Als onze zoon van 3 een review had kunnen schrijven, had hij deze zeker overal 5 sterren gegeven. Wat heeft hij genoten van deze vakantie! We verbleven een week en de camping is erg mooi. Er is een leuke binnenspeeltuin, het zwembad is fijn en de animatie is erg goed geregeld. Het personeel is vriendelijk en ook na wat problemen hebben ze alles netjes opgelost en teruggekregen.

    Wij stonden op een veld met een eikenboom. Ik denk dat hier normaal bijna nooit iemand staat, behalve in het hoogseizoen. Het veld was nog erg vies en er lagen nog peuken van de vorige gebruiker. Ook lag de plek helemaal vol met dennenappels en eikels, volgens mij nog van vorig jaar. Het was wel fijn geweest als dit even met een bladblazer was verwijderd voor aankomst, zeker omdat de andere plekken wel schoon waren. Ook stonden er brandnetels en een braamstruik rond het stroompunt en kraantje. De kinderen hebben zich hier een paar keer aan pijn gedaan.

    Verder vond ik het zwembad erg druk. Het zag zwart van de mensen. Even rustig in het zwembad zwemmen of stilstaan zat er niet in, zonder om de 3 seconden tegen iemand aan te botsen. Het kinderbadje was gelukkig wel wat rustiger voor de kleintjes. Ligbedjes hebben we de hele vakantie niet opgelegen hier is echt een gebrek aan of in de ochtend al je plekje reserveren.

    Ook het sanitair viel mij erg tegen. Vaak waren de wc's vies, vooral die voor de vrouwen (van horen zeggen). Er stond regelmatig een wachtrij om naar een wc te gaan, een wachtrij om af te wassen en een wachtrij voor de wasmachines, die ook regelmatig kapot gingen.

    We hebben verder een erg leuke vakantie gehad. Hadden we op een andere locatie gestaan, was het misschien nog beter bevallen.
