Discover the Twente of the past

Step back in time during a visit to the Open Air Museum Ootmarsum and learn more about the Twente region of the past. As you stroll along more than 18 authentic buildings, you will discover the different stories and functions of the people who lived here 100 years ago. From farmers in the countryside to estate owners and regional administrators. Take a look at the paper-making process, see how bread was made, and where potatoes were stored. A ticket costs around 7 euros, but children up to 10 years old can enter for free. Open Air Museum Ootmarsum is located about a 40-minute drive from Bospark Markelo. Ideal for a day trip!
