Vechtdal and surroundings

The surroundings of Hardenberg and Vechtdal are rich in nature, full of hills meadows, and river Vecht. There are various walking and cycling routes that take you past beautiful and peaceful places. The routes vary in distance. For the more active vacationer, there are also beautiful mountain bike routes. One of the routes starts in the forest opposite the campground. You can also be surprised by the beautiful surroundings of the water. During the Afzaktocht of 12 km on the Vecht and the Regge you canoe along beautiful spots where you can stop for a picnic or a swim. You can also book several round trips in the area.

Eerde Castle

Just below Ommen lies Castle Eerde its 540-acre estate. Once you cross the old entrance bridge and are inside the castle walls you can still feel the power and wealth of the former owners. Even inside the castle, which you can enter during special excursions, time seems to have stood still. The interior is still almost authentic to how it was at the time the castle was built. There are portraits of the old residents and tapestries hang like showpieces in the main hall. The castle is surrounded by beautiful castle gardens and a park forest with monumental paths and avenues. In the forest, you will find the crypt of the Pallant family.

Visit Hardenberg

Hardenberg has a cozy center where there is plenty to do for a fun day out. The center has many cozy boutiques and stores. In between or at the end of the day, take a seat at one of the many outdoor cafes in town. Are you interested in art? Then the 'art route' is a fun and active way to get acquainted with the art in Hardenberg. The route takes you past 14 different works of art scattered throughout the town. A visit to the Vechtdal Museum in Hardenberg will teach you more about the culture and history of Vechtdal. And if you're in Overijssel at the end of June, don't miss the balloon festival.

The Mien Ruys Gardens

Less than 12 km from the glamping in Overijssel is a whopping 25000 m² of green monument. Garden architect Mien Ruys created a beautiful garden that, after her death, is still a source of inspiration for garden lovers and an oasis of peace for anyone who wants to enjoy the beautiful gardens in silence.     Stayed a weekend in the family farmhouse with a group of ten people. Very nice stay, plenty of space and nice lockable rooms. Only downside, the farm is at the front of the property and at night did suffer from the busy N road. Further top.

    Een weekend in de familieboerderij met een groep van tien personen verbleven. Erg fijn verblijf, voldoende ruimte en fijne afsluitbare ruimtes. Enige nadeel, de boerderij staat vooraan op het terrein en s nachts wel last van de drukke N-weg. Verder top.

    Yesterday new Werner chalet installed at Klimberg. Team from Klimberg disconnected old chalet and connected new chalet in very short time under difficult conditions.The work was done very professionally. Staff made sure that paving and under-construction were completed quickly. Everything went in good consultation with me. If you are looking for a nice place for your chalet I would definitely contact Klimberg.Also I would like to thank Gerko for the technical work.

Team van Klimberg heeft oude chalet afgekoppeld en nieuwe chalet aangesloten in zeer korte tijd onder lastige omstandigheden.De werkzaamheden werden zeer professioneel uitgevoerd. De medewerkers zorgen ervoor dat bestrating en onderbouw snel wordt afgerond. Alles ging in goed overleg met mij.
