Take beautiful walks on the Lemelerberg, where you will encounter beautiful heaths, deciduous forests, and sandy plains. And this is only a 12-minute drive away. Are you there in the fall? Then you might even come across a flock of sheep! Another special place to go is the Sahara of Ommen. Cycle here in 15 minutes and be amazed by the 20 acres of sand drifts. A fun place to wander or build sandcastles with the family. Follow one of the hiking trails and admire this unique piece of nature in the Netherlands!

Shopping, walking and terrace

Sometimes it's nice to alternate nature for an afternoon in the city. Around Glamping de Koeksebelt are many nice cities for a day out. Drive 25 minutes to the cozy Zwolle. The center is full of outdoor cafes and fun stores. The pretty streets are perfect for strolling through. On the German border is another nice town, Coevorden. After a 30-minute drive you are in the fortified town with castle, green parks along the water and many stores and cafes. Do you drive another 10 minutes further north? Then you come to Emmen! Here too you will find streets full of stores, as well as WILDLANDS Adventure Zoo. A zoo with fun trails and playgrounds for children.

    Beautiful, friendly, especially very clean campground. We are on 440. Big spot in the corner by the water, ideal. My son and husband have the rods out every day in front of the tent and have caught quite a few. Everything here is well maintained and very neatly laid out. It really is a "nice weather" campground though. We now have a few days of bad weather and then there is not much to do here. Miss some kind of indoor playground or something. Outdoor pool is heated, not big but fun for the kids. Petting zoo across the street. Plenty to do in the area. We are in a very quiet week, many places still free. Location good, you can walk to the center of Ommen. Cozy center, fine restaurants. Snack bar at the campsite is also very good. Conclusion: definitely recommended especially when the weather is nicer. 4 stars because of the road that runs alongside the campsite which does give some nuisance which makes the peace somewhat lost and with bad weather not much to do.

    Mooie, gemoedelijke, vooral zeer nette camping. We staan op 440. Grote plek in de hoek aan het water, ideaal. Mijn zoon en man hebben iedere dag de hengels uitliggen voor de tent en al aardig wat gevangen. Alles is hier goed onderhouden en erg netjes aangelegd. Het is wel echt een "mooi weer" camping. We hebben nu een paar dagen slecht weer en dan is er hier niet veel te doen. Mis dan wel een soort binnenspeeltuin of iets. Buitenzwembad is verwarmd, niet groot maar voor de kids leuk. Kinderboerderij aan de overkant. In de omgeving wel genoeg te doen. We zitten in een erg rustige week, veel plaatsen nog vrij. Lokatie goed, je kan lopend naar het centrum van Ommen. Gezellig centrum, fijne restaurants. Snackbar op de camping is ook gewoon erg goed. Conclusie: zeker een aanrader vooral als het wat lekkerder weer is. 4 sterren vanwege de weg die langs de camping loopt wat wel overlast geeft waardoor de rust wat wegvalt en er met slecht weer niet veel omhanden is.
