The water quality in the pool is abysmal. All four of us are experiencing irritation in our eyes and throats. Every time we jump into the water, our skin feels greasy at first.

As a business, you can certainly have an automatic dosing system for pH, alkalinity, and chlorine. But you still need to check the levels manually on a regular basis. We stayed at this campground for 12 days and didn’t see anyone take any measurements.

The water temperature isn’t what was promised on the website or in the flyer. The water is too cold. And the outdoor pool is freezing. You can’t get a 140-cm-deep pool up to a comfortable temperature with just the sun. This requires additional heating.

I asked the staff if they would turn on the water current. They’re not allowed to do that. Only one hour a day because it costs so much money. The staff have presumably been drilled on this by the owner and keep saying that one hour is equivalent to a week’s electricity for one house.

I brought this up with the owner, and he says his staff are misinterpreting it.

It’s peak season, and we paid a fortune for our stay. And yet the water heater won’t even turn on? And the water heater temperature could be set higher, too.

I’m fed up with the owner’s stingy behavior. The campground is packed, and they’re whining about electricity costs.

The restrooms are in tip-top shape. That’s nice. The parking spots need some attention. Hard gravel surface with lots of weeds. This isn’t acceptable for a 5-star campground.

Next to the campground is the Kattenbos, where we’re allowed to let the dog run free. A beautifully laid-out nature reserve.

Prachtig overzichtelijk stuk natuurgebied.

It’s not the campground it used to be—there’s a lot of noise in the evenings from screaming kids.
People walking from other campsites to the store don’t use the paths but keep walking right past your tent. It’s become too much of a kids’ campground. Small children are running around everywhere—in the restroom building, in the parking lots, and on the paths—and no one is keeping an eye on them. I also don’t like that men and women have to use the same showers and restrooms.
