Salland Ridge

The Salland Ridge is one of the largest contiguous moorland areas in Europe. The hills were formed long ago, during the ice age. Nowadays you can hike, mountain bike, bike, and hike there as an adventurer or nature lover. There are numerous beautiful routes where you can be both active and clear your head. In August, an enchanting purple landscape emerges when the heather blooms.

An 8-minute drive from the vacation park, in Lemelerveld, you will find a real Dutch vineyard: the Wijnstaete. The estate of about 1.3 hectares features more than 2,000 vines of white and blue grapes. Taste one of these delicious wines, book a high-wine or join the guided tour. By the way, the surroundings of the vineyard are also beautiful and you can take lovely walks.

A day of fun in Hellendoorn Adventure Park

In the middle of the Sallandse woods, and less than fifteen minutes drive from the vacation park, is Avonturenpark Hellendoorn. The adventure park is a fun day out for young and old. There are more than 30 top attractions, including the wild water ride 'Wild Waterfall', the '3 Secret Towers' where you can climb and clamber, and the 'Flying Flame' roller coaster. You can also visit one of the many spectacular shows and there is an outside sliding track where you will have plenty of adventures. The park has several catering establishments where you can go for a small snack or dinner. Keep in mind that the park is closed during winter months.

Dining in the Gardens of Priona

This unique pop-up restaurant "The Garden Room" serves culinary dishes using products from the Gardens of Priona throughout the summer months. Depending on what is growing in the garden, the menu changes weekly and is always fresh. The restaurant itself is an old greenhouse which stands in the middle of the gardens. The Priona Gardens were created in 1970 with the goal that everything revolves around ecological balance. By now the Gardens of Priona are internationally known. The beautiful and very inspiring Gardens count more than 5000 different species of flowers and plants. You will find the Gardens of Priona and the Garden Room in Schuinesloot, about a half-hour drive from the vacation park.

    Overall a mediocre experience for the price. Location is great and quiet, the houses are relatively spacious and have a sauna and large bathroom. Kitchen utensils are the bare minimum, cheap, scratched teflon cookware that causes health concerns and very few dishes. Visitors are clearly expected to be eating out most of the time. No dish washer tabs or coffee pads provided despite a pretty high price per night. The beds are in the attic and in summer it's unbearably hot. AC is available for a surplus charge if you want to actually sleep. The pool is decently sized but closes at 17:00 because that's when their cafe next to it closes. Even though there is no specific personnel supervising the people swimming. Want to cool off in the evening after a scorching hot summer day? Tough luck. The smart TV is really old and clearly can't handle the current operating system. It gets stuck a lot if you try to use apps and if you watch TV every few seconds you get a popup about news or streaming offers which no visible way to turn this off. House was clean. This is a vacation park for those who want to go here and either spend all day hiking or doing something else outside of the house. Though the park itself doesn't seem to offer much in terms of activities. You can do better for less in other places.

    Wunderschöne Ferienanlage, sehr ruhig. Sorgt beim Eingang schon für Entspannung. Wir haben das XL Wellness Haus für vier Personen gebucht Die Unterkunft ist sehr gemütlich eingerichtet. Zusätzlich zur Fußbodenheizung steht ein Gaskamin zur Verfügung. Drei Fernseher, zwei davon Smart TV. Küchenzubehör reicht vollkommen aus. Hätte mir noch ein Willkommensset mit einem Tab , Spülmittel und Spülbürste gewünscht. Wellness pur mit der verfügbaren Sonnendusche, Whirlpool und Sauna. Es wurde an alles gedacht. Nach Zwolle sind es nur 30 Autoritäten, so auch nicht viel weiter nach Kampen. Superschöne Landschaft. Wir kommen gerne wieder 🙂

    Midweek doorgebracht op dit park. We hebben genoten van het complete huis op nr 60.Alles zag er keurig en schoon uit.De mooie verzorgde tuin rondom het huis konden we erg waarderen met nog eens een wijds uitzicht. Mooie omgeving voor fiets of wandeltochten. We komen vast weer eens terug

    Mooi huisje en park maar slechte service. In april 2 nachten hier verbleven. Er is een fout gemaakt waardoor ik te veel betaald heb. Al 2 maanden moet ik hier zelf achteraan gaan en tot op heden heb ik mijn geld nog steeds niet terug. Op mails wordt niet gereageerd, ze hebben alleen mijn rekeningnummer gevraagd maar niks terug gestort.
