Discover A Truly Artistic Town
Be amazed by the unique art and cultural offerings that Twente has in the small picturesque town of Ootmarsum. The scenic surroundings and historic buildings in the city center have inspired many artists in the past, and continue to do so today. Despite the town itself having only 5,000 inhabitants, it houses numerous studios where you can admire artworks by both renowned artists and emerging talents. In Galerie Art Brut Kik, you will find the art in its purest form, showcasing works exclusively created by artists with intellectual disabilities. And it doesn't have to end with just observing. Many of the studios also offer workshops, so let your creativity flow and discover the artist within yourself.

A Day On The Water
The Regge region is beautiful from the water. Experience the tranquility and surroundings in a whisper boat or sloop, which you can rent at the park. The boating route takes you along the Oliepelmolen, the fish ladder, old farmhouses, and green surroundings. Looking for something more active? Then hop in a 2-person kayak or 3-person canoe. Or book a cruise where the skipper tells fascinating stories while you enjoy a snack and a drink.
Take A Dive Into The World of Beer
Beer is a part of Twente! You can find numerous delightful breweries and beer specialty shops that offer a refreshing cold Twente beer. But for a truly unique beer experience, you must visit Othmar Bier in Ootmarsum. They have the first-ever beer spa. Immerse yourself in a beer bath, which along with water, contains hops, malt, and yeast, and enjoy unlimited pours of your own Othmar beer. The bath is set at 39 degrees Celsius, and the active enzymes and vitamin B will make you feel completely rejuvenated. To make your wellness day complete, you can also indulge in a relaxing massage or sauna.
Sallandse Heuvelrug National Park
Sallandse Heuvelrug is one of the largest contiguous heathland areas in Europe, formed by hills during the ice age. Nowadays, it offers opportunities for adventurers and nature lovers to hike, mountain bike, cycle, and go on nature walks. There are numerous beautiful trails where you can be active and clear your mind. In August, an enchanting purple landscape emerges as the heather blooms.

Vakantiepark Mölke is characterised by exceptionally friendly and helpful staff who truly make guests feel welcome. The beautiful location along the Regge offers peace and nature, with plenty of walking and cycling opportunities in the area. The park provides excellent dining with tasteful food and a varied entertainment programme for children, while the numerous playgrounds ensure plenty of fun. Points of attention are the cleanliness of some accommodations and sanitary facilities, as well as the swimming pool which guests experience as dated and on the small side.

After our vacation was unexpectedly canceled due to family circumstances, we had to find a campground at the last minute. Since we had no choice but to take our three dogs on vacation with us, that was difficult. Mölke was one of the few campgrounds close to home that welcomes three dogs.
We stayed from July 11 through 25 on campsite 75 with private restroom facilities. We were greeted warmly and were even allowed to check in a little early. The campground is well-maintained, green, and has a real family-friendly atmosphere.
Upon arrival, the private bathroom facilities hadn’t been cleaned yet, but after a quick phone call, the issue was resolved promptly. Site 75 is spacious, flat, offers plenty of privacy, and is within walking distance of the Regge River.
The restrooms were spacious and well-equipped, but the heater was loose and the exhaust fan was very noisy. After sending a WhatsApp message, the maintenance crew was there within minutes. The exhaust fan was cleaned, but according to the technician, it actually needed to be replaced.
Even though the campground was fully booked during summer vacation, it never felt overcrowded. Our campsite was quiet, and by around 11:00 p.m., it was wonderfully peaceful. We’ve had different experiences elsewhere.
The entertainment program is a major plus. From graffiti and DJ workshops to drumming, painting, and remote-controlled car races. Many activities are free; for some, you need to register via the Mölke app.
The playgrounds are also well-maintained. Our ten-year-old daughter wasn’t bored for a single moment.
Mölke is ideal for dog owners: up to three dogs are welcome, there are plenty of trash cans and poop bags, and dogs can cool off in the Regge River.
The snack bar was fine, though the fries could have been fried a little longer. The sandwiches and ice cream from the local shop were tasty, though the selection is limited.
The Wi-Fi only worked well on our site on the first day. The pool isn’t large, but it’s fine for kids; our daughter did think there was a lot of chlorine in it.
The location is beautiful, right on the Regge River and surrounded by lovely hiking and biking trails. We thoroughly enjoyed exploring them with our SUP board.
We’ll definitely be back, and next time we’d love to stay in a rental instead of camping.
Thanks for the great service, and on behalf of our daughter, thanks for the super fun activities 😉this is a translation, click here for the original

It’s really a great place—a beautiful campground with a good entertainment team and friendly staff—but come on, we have a campsite at a glamping site? Yet it’s just a run-of-the-mill restroom stall with one toilet for 30 sites; the other toilet was broken. There are no hedges, so you can see right into everyone else’s space.... Personally, I don’t mind that, but paying 360 euros for 5 nights isn’t really glamping. My parents have a stationary trailer—one switch turns on all the fluorescent lights—not exactly atmospheric, and no patio set included. And a whopping 700 euros for a double bed with just two single sheets—that’s not really glamping either. I just think it’s an absolute fortune for what you get. I love camping, but with these prices and a five-star campground, “slow living” doesn’t quite fit the bill!

The four of us stayed there for nine days in July. The park itself is beautifully landscaped, the staff were friendly, and there’s really a lot for kids to do.
Unfortunately, we were very dissatisfied with our vacation home. As soon as we walked in, we noticed a strong, unpleasant odor. There was moldy water in the refrigerator, and we had to wait until the next day for someone to take care of it.
There were also numerous defects: The kitchen cabinet fronts and the refrigerator were loose, there were defective knives and light fixtures, and the floor in the living room was damaged. The kitchen cabinets were also dirty. The pool had an unpleasant smell as well.
Some friends of ours were also at the park at the same time and were staying in a different vacation home. The difference between the two homes was enormous—their home was in significantly better condition.
In addition, I’m still waiting for a refund of the money I overpaid. Despite the time that has already passed, the amount has not yet been refunded.
It’s a shame, because we really liked the resort itself. Due to the poor condition of our vacation home and the outstanding refund, we unfortunately cannot wholeheartedly recommend this stay.
I haven’t yet received the small overpayment I made for the activities. We weren’t offered an apology or an alternative.this is a translation, click here for the original
