A great, kid-friendly campground. The campground is just the right size, has plenty to offer families with children, and is very well-maintained! Another highlight is the “mascots” that regularly drive around the campground to visit the kids.

It’s always lovely there, and the kids always have a blast! Cobus, Bella, Bliz, Berk, and Buur are always so attentive to the kids and go out of their way to make sure they have a wonderful vacation.
We love coming here! Our three kids are busy all day long, love the pool, and always find new friends to play with at every playground.

A fantastic entertainment program, mostly run by a professional entertainment team! Beautiful accommodations and super-friendly staff. They’re also very forward-thinking, with facial recognition for the pool, the ability to lock and unlock your cottage using your own cell phone, and the handy, informative app.

A fantastic campground for families with young children!

We, along with our 4-year-old daughter, thoroughly enjoyed our stay at De Zandstuve Campground. What immediately stands out is how much care and attention is devoted to this campground. Everything is excellently maintained, neat, in good condition, and clean. You can tell from … everything that the staff works with great care here.

The campground has two beautiful, cozily decorated restaurants. We had pizza at De Haardkamer. This was one of the few areas that could use some improvement. The pizza was quite greasy and struck us as a ready-made product. In our opinion, a little more attention could be paid to this.

The indoor pool is great fun for kids, with a large slide and several smaller slides for the little ones. The restroom facilities are also excellent. There are two restroom buildings, one of which is beautiful and modern. The other building will be renovated next year, but it’s already well-maintained and clean.

What particularly surprised us in a positive way was the entertainment program. It’s not just a small room set up for some children’s activities; the campground has a real professional theater where shows and other indoor activities are organized. That really shows how much attention is paid to keeping the kids entertained.

The indoor playground is also a lot of fun and spacious enough to keep children entertained even when the weather isn’t great. A tip for the owner would be to create the option to order something to eat or drink here as well. Perhaps from the central kitchen. That would significantly increase the comfort for parents watching their kids play, while also offering a nice opportunity for additional revenue.

We also really appreciate the small gestures through which the campground shows it truly cares about its guests. For example, upon departure, we received a game as a farewell gift. A small gesture, but it’s precisely those kinds of details that make all the difference.

In short: a well-maintained, charming, and child-friendly campground where the staff clearly works with passion. The areas for improvement mentioned above do little to detract from our very positive experience. We had booked a campsite with private restroom facilities there for a week. The pre-arrival information and check-in went smoothly. Once you arrive at the campground, it’s easy to find your way around. Our site, Berk 37, was a decent size and was more than enough for us. The private restroom facilities were very clean, spacious, and kept very … simple. Unfortunately, our motion detector outside went completely haywire on the first night. I reported this to the front desk the next day, and technicians took care of the problem that same day. All facilities were always clean and tidy. The staff were very helpful and courteous. Even where the site was completely flooded and muddy, they laid down panels to make it easier to drive on. We felt completely at home and even extended our stay by one night, which they offered us at a discounted rate. We’ll definitely be back. Read more Show less
