On the Appelgaard camping field, there are three spacious safari tents for 6 people. Here you get the true outdoor camping experience, but with the comfort and convenience you would normally expect in a holiday cottage. An ideal combination for a relaxing stay in the Twente countryside.

The safari tents are fully equipped with all conveniences. A kitchenette, tableware, cutlery, and garden furniture are all provided. Inside, the tent is atmospherically decorated with natural materials, immediately giving you that wonderful glamping vibe. The 6-person safari tent has three bedrooms, each with two beds. Outside, a wooden veranda of 15 m² with scaffolding wood garden furniture awaits, along with a private picnic table for long breakfasts or a game in the evening sun.

The friendly service and relaxed atmosphere make the park ideal for families looking to unwind.

    We stayed here for 4 nights with a baby and a toddler (almost 3). We were really happy with the campground. It’s a manageable size, with small playgrounds everywhere, so that every site has one right within sight. There’s a great, large playground out front. And, of course, the absolute highlight was the indoor playground right next to the restaurant (which is also a really nice place to eat and relax—though it would be great to have a diaper-changing station in the men’s restroom!) and the swimming area—which consists of a pool and a slide outside, and several small slides and water features inside. (Note: it’s pretty loud, and the barrel that fills up and then pours out like a waterfall was a bit too much for our son.) The restrooms are clean and more than adequate (baby tub, family shower, etc.—everything’s there). The staff is friendly everywhere. There are a few attractions in the area (corn maze, farm, indoor pools), and many places are easily accessible by bike. A great spot for a few days—we highly recommend it.

    Waren für 4 Nächte mit Baby und Kleinkind (fast 3) hier. Waren super happy mit dem Platz. Überschaubare Größe, überall kleine Spielplätze, sodass eigentlich jeder Platz einen direkt in Sichtweite hat. Ein toller großer Spielplatz vorne. Und natürlich als absolutes Highlight der Indoorspielplatz direkt am Restaurant (auch wirklich nett zum Essen und Sitzen - einzig eine Wickelmöglichkeit bei den Männern wäre noch toll!) und das Schwimmbad - das besteht aus einem Becken und einer Rutsche draußen und drinnen mehreren kleinen Rutschen und Wasserspielen. (Achtung das ist ziemlich laut und das Fass das sich füllt und dann wasserfallartig ausgeschüttet wird, war für unseren Sohn ein bisschen zu viel des Guten). Sanitäranlagen sauber und völlig ausreichend (Babywanne, Familiendusche etc alles da). Personal überall nett. In der Umgebung gibt es ein paar Sachen (Maislabyrinth, Bauernhof, Hallenbäder) und mit dem Fahrrad ist einiges gut zu erreichen. Für ein paar Tage ein toller Platz, können wir sehr empfehlen.

    The chicken satay was extremely raw on the inside and not cooked at all.
    The service, on the other hand, wasn't great either, and the waitress was pushy. We won't be going back there.

    Great campground! We’ll definitely be back next year! We’ll stay in a hiker’s cabin then. We just spent a week here with our son, daughter-in-law, and grandchildren! The kids always have a blast in the pool and at the playground! See you again next year!

    For the third year in a row, we took our granddaughter to this campground in our trailer. We chose the same spot as the first time. Car-free. Wonderfully peaceful. Only three trailer sites and plenty of space to play. Squirrels scamper by a few times every day.
    We had a wonderful time again. The new slide is a real hit. We had a delicious meal at the restaurant. The portions are generous, and the prices are reasonable. Our granddaughter was very sad that it was over. Everything was great—especially for the kids. We’ll go again next year if we can, but stay a little longer. It’s a wonderful time for grandpa and grandma to spend with the grandkids. There’s plenty to do—even indoors, with the playground, water play area, swings, sandboxes, and more. Great, great, great.

    Voor het 3e jaar weer met onze kleindochter met de caravan naar deze camping geweest. We hebben weer de plek gekozen van de 1e keer. Autovrij. Heerlijk rustig. Maar 3 caravanplekken en veel speelruimte. De eekhoorntjes springen elke dag een paar keer voorbij.
    We hebben weer genoten. Voor al de nieuwe glijbaan is een topper. Heerlijk gegeten in het restaurant. Je krijgt veel, en betaalbaar. Onze kleindochter was heel erg verdrietig dat het weer voorbij was. Alles was top. Vooral voor de kids. Gaan, als het kan volgend jaar weer, maar dan wat langer. Het is voor opa en oma's zeer goed vertoeven met de kleinkinderen. Er is veel te doen. Ook binnen, de speelplaats. waterspeelplaats, schommels, zandbakken enz. Top, top, top.
