While visiting National Park the Sallandse Heuvelrug, you sometimes feel like you are abroad. This large moorland area is the ideal place for restful walks. Walk through dense forests, across vast moorlands and admire the beautiful vistas and landscapes. From this glamping in Overijssel you can walk or cycle straight into the Sallandse Heuvelrug, as this area is less than 3 kilometers away. A day full of greenery, fresh air and tranquility is guaranteed. Spot various birds and who knows, you might even encounter sheep. Walk towards one of the viewpoints for the best views or dive into history at the burial mounds in the park.

Attractive towns and villages

From your glamping site, take a trip to Zwolle, the capital of the province of Overijssel. This historic Hanseatic city has an old center, cozy terraces and the nicest stores. Stroll through the streets and enjoy its waterfront location. Zutphen is about the same distance, about 30 minutes away, and is a good option for a day trip. Stroll through the historic streets and take a trip on the water. Within biking distance from the glamping is the municipality of Raalte. On your bike ride that way, you'll pass beautiful farms and estates. Once in the center you will find a nice shopping center and cafes where you can have a drink before returning to the glamping in Nieuw Heeten.

Mountain biking in Overijssel

From Vakantiepark Sallandshoeve you can follow the most beautiful mountain bike routes through Overijssel. For challenging courses go to BikePark Salland, but for a route over dirt roads and through an old forest area follow the Oostermaet Route. Fancy a challenge? The longest single track route in the Netherlands is the Wechelerveld Route over an old exercise yard and a former landfill. There is something for every kind of mountain biker in the area.

Animals and dinosaurs

At Natuurmuseum Holterberg you will find one of the largest collections of European animal species. Follow the scavenger hunt through the museum and spot all the animals. For moving animals, drive 40 minutes to the Apenheul in Apeldoorn, and who knows, a monkey might jump on your shoulder. Want to come face to face with dinosaurs? Then head to Dinoland in Zwolle, where you'll walk past more than 100 lifelike dinosaurs.

    Gezellig campingveld, mooi opgezet. Fijne temperatuur in het zwembad. Veel te doen op het park, w.o. midgetgolf, speeltuintjes, speelvijver, zwemmen, skelterbaan.

    Het net in de Villatent Ranger was echt een succes bij onze kinderen! Het was de eeste keer glampen voor ons. Het "buiten leven" in de glamping tent was top! Dit in combinatie met de luxe van een huis. Het weer was ook wel ideaal. Overdag warm en 's nachts afgekoeld om goed te kunnen slapen.
