De Krabbeplaat is a family-friendly campsite with spacious pitches and good facilities including a fun playground, water park and beach on the Brielse Meer. Guests appreciate the friendly staff and the clean, regularly maintained sanitary facilities. The location offers beautiful cycling and walking opportunities, with a passenger ferry to the historic town of Brielle. A point of attention is the noise disturbance from live music on Friday evenings until late at night, which is particularly disruptive for families with young children. Hot shower temperatures, limited water pressure and drainage problems during rainfall are also mentioned.

First off: we’re two adults and two children (8.5 years old) traveling through the Netherlands in a camper van. We stayed at this campsite for three nights:
Pro
—an absolutely fantastic location. It’s a two-minute bike ride to the water playground. Right next to the campground is a great spot for swimming. It’s a two-minute walk to the ferry that crosses over to Brielle. You can’t hear any traffic noise! Truly a great location
– the restrooms were super clean
– there was always a little train running in the evenings, which the kids loved
– a large playground with everything you need, a restaurant, and a supermarket—it’s all there
– a very small splash park; not for our kids right now, but that’s a matter of taste
– are there deer? And goats in an enclosure. Chickens and a rooster roam freely everywhere. It was quite nice—they always came to visit us in the morning
On the downside
—everything is clearly showing its age, and the same trash had been lying around on the playground for three days. Everything could use a little spruce-up.
— 90% of the site is occupied by long-term or seasonal campers. They all know each other, of course, and as an outsider, you feel like you’re walking into a village. At times, it was also really loud at night.
– The entertainment program was—as is often the case—more geared toward Dutch-speaking children, and you only found out about it on the website anyway. There was no information about it anywhere on the campground.
Bottom line: We’d stay here again for a few nights. But not for a longer stay.this is a translation, click here for the original
Man hört keinen Straßenlärm! Wirklich super Lage
