Disappointing stay at Pavilion 6 – EuroParcs De Biesbosch: we do not recommend this park.

We stayed at Pavilion 6 at EuroParcs De Biesbosch with three adults. Unfortunately, the stay was quite disappointing. Our advice is therefore not to book this cottage.

Our previous experiences with other EuroParcs parks had actually been much … more positive. That’s why we didn’t hesitate to book with EuroParcs again. Unfortunately, this stay clearly falls outside those positive experiences and left us quite disappointed.

The online presentation does not match reality. When booking, you get a different impression than when you actually arrive at the cottage. Three different cottages are shown, and not a single photo matches the cottage we stayed in. This gives a false impression beforehand and leads to disappointment upon arrival.

Although the chalet is spacious, the layout makes it feel cramped. We would absolutely not recommend Pavilion 6 for six people.

In addition, the maintenance is downright disappointing. The chalet appears to have settled, causing the two sections to seem askew relative to each other. As a result, doors don’t close properly and the floor is worn. There are also several items that are broken or poorly maintained. In the toilet and bathroom, the plumbing doesn’t seem to be connected properly, resulting in an unpleasant odor. Overall, it gives the impression that little attention has been paid to maintenance and improvements for quite some time.

The park’s location is beautiful in itself, but this chalet suffers from significant noise pollution from the adjacent highway. As a result, we didn’t enjoy sitting outside and truly taking in the surroundings.

Check-in was also a bit odd. Check-in is available starting at 4:00 p.m., even though the front desk closes again at 5:00 p.m. Picking up the key from a locker seemed like a fine solution at first. But once inside the chalet, we were unexpectedly confronted by security at the door around 9:00 p.m. It turned out that an email had announced that another check would take place, but we had missed that information. Subsequently, all guests had to be registered individually, and we had to provide all sorts of information. The way this was handled felt more like a necessary check than a warm welcome.

Our conclusion: the attractive online presentation sets expectations that Pavilion 6 fails to meet in practice. The poor maintenance, the sagging structures, the unpleasant sewer odor, the worn-out furnishings, and the noise pollution mean we would not book here again.

Precisely because our previous experiences with other EuroParcs parks were so positive, we find this especially disappointing. Unfortunately, this stay stands in stark contrast to what we’ve come to expect from EuroParcs.

We believe the photos and information provided at the time of booking should give a more accurate picture of the actual stay. Based on our experience, we recommend thinking carefully before booking Pavilion 6. For us, it was, unfortunately, a major disappointment. Read more Show less

There's no need to post another review because everything has already been said in previous reviews. Poor cleaning, poor finish in the cottage, cold pool with poor showers.
