What you should know about the park

A wonderful location to celebrate vacations! From the recreation park you can make wonderful beach walks and bike rides through the dunes. In addition, there are many facilities for young and old. There is an outdoor pool with toddler and toddler pool, a sports field, panna field, table tennis table and more. There is also a cozy restaurant and bar at the park. And in high season there is an entertainment program for the children with Toppe Bob.

    Paid extra when booking for a preferred cottage (not too close to the playground).
    Upon arrival, it didn’t smell fresh—it smelled old, musty, and dated. The kitchen cabinets, countertop, and baseboards were peeling. The same was true in the shower. There were traces of food scraps, fly droppings, hair, and caked-on grime on the baseboards and … similar areas—which, given the condition, had clearly been there for a long time. It was obvious that this place hadn’t been cleaned.
    The car was supposed to be able to park next to the cottage. After some maneuvering and measuring, this worked, but it was practically impossible to get past it. Bicycles therefore had to be parked in front of the cottage.
    The barbecue was full of water, with a filthy, black, caked-on grill lying next to it on the ground.
    The bunk bed didn’t come with a ladder.
    The coffee maker was in a crammed sink cabinet next to the cleaning bucket.
    We were without internet for almost two days. A technician came by and discovered that the wiring had been chewed through (presumably) by mice. After that, we were offered another cottage that looked much better. However, the cleaning here also left something to be desired.
    Not my style of cleaning. This could really be done much better.
    The staff at the front desk were very friendly, though.

    Bij het boeken extra betaald ivm vookeurshuisje (niet te dicht bij speelplaats).
    Bij binnenkomst rook het niet fris, oud, muf en gedateerd. Keukenkastjes, aanrecht en plint afgebladderd. Ook in de douche. Vegen van etensresten, vliegenpoep, haren en aangekoekt vuil op plintjes e.d. wat gezien de staat van langere tijd was. Hier is overduidelijk niet schoongemaakt.
    Auto zou bij het huisje moeten kunnen staan. Met pas- en meetwerk lukte dit, echter kon je er praktisch niet meer bij langs. Fietsen moesten daarom vóór het huisje gezet worden.
    Barbecue stond vol water met een smerig zwart aangekoekt rooster ernaast op de grond.
    Stapelbed zat geen trapje bij.
    Koffiezetapparaat stond in een volgepropt gootsteenkastje bij de schoonmaak emmer.
    Bijna 2 dagen zonder internet gezeten. Hier kwam een monteur voor welke ontdekte dat de bedrading doorgevreten was door (vermoedelijk) muizen. Hierna werd ons een ander huisje aangeboden waar het er een stuk beter uitzag. Echter liet de schoonmaak hier ook te wensen over.
    Niet mijn manier van schoonmaken. Dit kan echt stukken beter.
    Personeel achter de balie was overigens heel vriendelijk.
