Sun, sea and beach

About a 5-minute bike ride away is the beach of Ouddorp by the Sea, one of the cleanest and most beautiful beaches in the Netherlands. On this almost 18 km-long beach, you can take wonderful beach walks, spread out your beach towel and find lovely beach pavilions where you can settle down for a snack or a drink. There is plenty to do for water sports enthusiasts. Learn to surf, go sailing or try stand-up paddleboarding, for example. At the end of the beach, you will find the Brewers Dam, the seventh structure of the Delta Works, and the connection between the provinces of South Holland and Zeeland. Here, you can often spot seals and also enjoy the annual ‘Concert at Sea’ festival.

Goat

Visit the goat farm

The Bleating Place Goat Farm is an organic goat farm and a fun day out for young and old alike. Here, you will not only learn all about these cute animals, but you can also cuddle and even milk them. You can also see how cheese is made from goat's milk. In the farm shop, you can buy plenty of delicious regional products, and in the restaurant you can enjoy a cup of coffee with a delicious slice of apple pie.

Visit Fitou

Among the meadows in Ouddorp, you will find Fitou. You can spend the whole day at this cosy café with a tea garden. Tables are spread across the grass, where you can enjoy a cappuccino or a treat from the menu while the kids learn about what grows and blooms in the nursery garden. There are ponies and horses in the meadow, and in bad weather there is a cosy indoor area.

Walking and cycling

The surroundings of Holiday Park the Rattling Place are perfect for a lovely walk or bike ride. The Bad Corner nature reserve has a varied landscape and offers plenty of opportunities for birdwatching. The Bunker Route is not only a beautiful but also an interesting route that leads you past part of the 2,600 km-long defensive line built by the Germans during the Second World War. The Mudflats of Flakkee are a beautiful area for walking and cycling, where you will encounter many plants and wild animals. Nature is not the only thing offering beautiful sights. The village of Good Roads still has town walls, a tower and a harbour dating back to Roman times. The narrow streets are also a real attraction.
