General information

Gather your favourite people and escape to this bright, modern chalet at Vakantiepark Kijkduin – just a short stroll from the dunes and the beach. Your cosy home base is freshly built and comfortably furnished, perfect for a long weekend with friends or a relaxed week by the sea.

Inside, you’ll find a light living area where you can chill after a beach day, stream a movie on the Smart TV or play games at the dining table. The open-plan kitchen makes cooking together easy, with a fridge-freezer for cold drinks, a dishwasher (so no arguing over the dishes) and a microwave for quick snacks.

With three bedrooms, there’s plenty of space for up to six guests. Share the double rooms or claim the fun bunk-bed room if you still feel like a big kid. The layout works well for couples travelling together or a small group of friends who want both comfort and privacy.

Slide open the door to your private terrace and enjoy slow breakfasts in the sun or drinks under the stars at the garden table. It’s the kind of spot where evenings naturally stretch out with good conversations and a bottle of wine.

Bringing a dog? Even better. One pet is welcome, and the whole area is a playground for four-legged friends, with coastal walking paths, off‑leash zones and beach cafés where dogs are more than welcome. It’s the ideal base if you want to mix beach time, outdoor fun and relaxed nights in.

The surroundings invite you to get out and explore: bike through the dunes, walk along the coast or hop over to Scheveningen for the pier, SEA LIFE and a lively boulevard. The Hague is just around the corner for culture, museums and great food.

Extra chill: the holiday park is completely firework‑free during New Year’s. Fireworks are prohibited and actively monitored, and the municipality also has a ban. That means a calm, quieter atmosphere – perfect if you prefer relaxed evenings over loud partying.

If you’re looking for a comfortable, modern chalet near the beach where you can enjoy the dunes by day and unwind together by night, this coastal hideaway at Kijkduin is a great pick.

The accommodations are generally experienced as modern, tidy and practically furnished, with smart use of space. We stayed in two of the “comfort” cottages, and neither of them was clean. The floor was covered in dust. The toilet smelled like old urine and had brown stains, and in the second cottage, it was impossible to take a shower because the drain was clogged and the water was overflowing. The bathroom mirror light wasn’t working either. You pay a lot of money for a stay like this, so you’d expect it to at least be clean.

The living room felt bright thanks to the large windows that let in plenty of light. The bunk bed room was compact but ideal for children. It was easy to walk to local cafés without a car.

De woonkamer kwam licht over door de grote ramen waar veel licht binnenkwam. De stapelbedkamer was compact maar ideaal voor kinderen. Wandelen naar lokale cafés ging gemakkelijk zonder auto.

It wasn't anything special, but it was convenient—the dishwasher made our stay more comfortable than at previous accommodations. The beds were comfortable enough to ensure a good night's sleep.

Niet opvallend maar handig, de vaatwasser maakte het verblijf comfortabeler dan bij eerdere accommodaties. De bedden boden een prettig niveau van comfort voor een goede nachtrust.
