Villa Avondrood is a stylish water villa in Ooltgensplaat where you can truly slow down and enjoy the outdoors. The villa sits right on the water and has its own jetty with a boat, so you can hop on board for a relaxed trip on the Volkerak whenever you feel like it.

With 2 comfortable bedrooms and space for up to 4 people, this is a great spot for couples, friends or a small family. The interior is cosy and practical, with everything you need for an easy holiday. After a day outside you can cook together, play a game at the table or unwind with a drink while you watch the light change over the water.

Nature lovers will be in their element here. From your front door you can walk or cycle straight into the Hellegatsplaat nature reserve, with its wide views, water birds and peaceful trails. There are beautiful routes along the Volkerak, towards the watchtower or via the Vogelboulevard – perfect if you enjoy birdwatching or simply love being outside.

The picturesque centre and harbour of Ooltgensplaat are just a few hundred metres away. Stroll along the quay, grab a drink on a terrace or pick up fresh bread in the morning. There’s also a nearby family-friendly beach where children can play in the sand while you relax.

Fancy a little adventure? Take Ferry Waterpoort, just around the corner, and cross the water by bike to discover other lovely spots, such as Galathese Harbour with its pavilion and nature playground. Within 10–15 minutes by car you’ll reach Lake Grevelingen, a top destination for diving and windsurfing. In about half an hour you can be at the North Sea beach for a full day by the sea.

Thanks to its central location on Goeree-Overflakkee, Villa Avondrood is a perfect base to explore the island. Visit the charming town of Middelharnis, enjoy the large harbour and family beach in Herkingen or simply stay “at home” and soak up the tranquillity on your own jetty. Pets are welcome too (up to two), so the whole family can join your waterside getaway.
