Villa Avondrood is a stylish water villa in Ooltgensplaat where you can truly slow down and enjoy the outdoors. The villa sits right on the water and has its own jetty with a boat, so you can hop on board for a relaxed trip on the Volkerak whenever you feel like it.

With 2 comfortable bedrooms and space for up to 4 people, this is a great spot for couples, friends or a small family. The interior is cosy and practical, with everything you need for an easy holiday. After a day outside you can cook together, play a game at the table or unwind with a drink while you watch the light change over the water.

Nature lovers will be in their element here. From your front door you can walk or cycle straight into the Hellegatsplaat nature reserve, with its wide views, water birds and peaceful trails. There are beautiful routes along the Volkerak, towards the watchtower or via the Vogelboulevard – perfect if you enjoy birdwatching or simply love being outside.

The picturesque centre and harbour of Ooltgensplaat are just a few hundred metres away. Stroll along the quay, grab a drink on a terrace or pick up fresh bread in the morning. There’s also a nearby family-friendly beach where children can play in the sand while you relax.

Fancy a little adventure? Take Ferry Waterpoort, just around the corner, and cross the water by bike to discover other lovely spots, such as Galathese Harbour with its pavilion and nature playground. Within 10–15 minutes by car you’ll reach Lake Grevelingen, a top destination for diving and windsurfing. In about half an hour you can be at the North Sea beach for a full day by the sea.

Thanks to its central location on Goeree-Overflakkee, Villa Avondrood is a perfect base to explore the island. Visit the charming town of Middelharnis, enjoy the large harbour and family beach in Herkingen or simply stay “at home” and soak up the tranquillity on your own jetty. Pets are welcome too (up to two), so the whole family can join your waterside getaway.

    Not properly cleaned upon arrival. Layer of dust on the blinds. Around the mobile home it looks very messy, with lots of weeds between the stones. The freezer part of the fridge/freezer combination you have to open with a knife, handle is missing. Described by Belvilla as a watervilla, concerns a poorly maintained mobile home on the waterfront, which has had its best time. In short: past glory.

    Niet goed schoongemaakt bij aankomst. Laag stof op de jaloezieën. Rond de stacaravan ziet het er zeer rommelig uit, met veel onkruid tussen de stenen. Het vriesgedeelte van de koel-/vries combinatie moet je openen met een mes, handvat ontbreekt. Door Belvilla omschreven als een watervilla, betreft een slecht onderhouden stacaravan aan het water, die zijn beste tijd heeft gehad. Kortom: vergane glorie.

    What a gem!!! The views from the dock are breathtaking, especially during sunset, My kids loved the bunk bed in their room, and the garden was perfect for them to play in, We also enjoyed some family time at the dining table while sharing meals we cooked in the spacious kitchen,

    Location is ok, mobile home reasonable but everything outside looks terrible. Caravan totally green out, weeds everywhere and jetty area is almost falling apart and loose boards with holes. Boat is standing water in it. All in all for that price downright outrageous!

    Locatie is oké, stacaravan redelijk maar alles buiten ziet er verschrikkelijk uit. Caravan totaal groen uitgeslagen, overal onkruid en steigergedeelte valt bijna uit elkaar en losliggende planken met gaten. Bootje staat water in. Al met al voor die prijs ronduit schandalig!
