A simple but nice chalet. The only downside was that it wasn't cleaned properly.

We love it here so much. Above all, it’s quiet because this park is located in a forest. To me, they’re all tiny houses—small and cute. There’s an indoor pool that’s also suitable for toddlers. It’s small here too, but it meets our needs. Unfortunately, there’s no lifeguard—just camera surveillance. The park is huge, and so far we’ve discovered two playgrounds. Unfortunately, the restaurant is only open from 3 to 6 p.m., and only Thursday through Saturday. Too bad.

Schade.

A very nice resort with modern cabins. We stayed in a cabin with a sauna, and it was amazing. The sauna heated up really well. The resort is so green! We highly recommend it.

Our stay had both positive and less positive aspects.

The park itself is beautiful, well-maintained, and quietly situated, with a stunning location near a nature reserve. The cottages are modern, and it’s convenient that you can park your car right next to the cottage (we stayed in a Berkel 4). The facilities are also a plus: the pool area is beautifully landscaped with a large pool, a separate toddler pool, and a separate slide. In addition, there are several fun and well-maintained playgrounds for children.

Unfortunately, there were also a few significant drawbacks. We stayed during the heat wave from June 26 through 29, and our cottage had no air conditioning. There was also no portable air conditioner available. The temperature in the cottage rose to 39°C, making it virtually impossible to keep it comfortably cool. Due to an ant infestation in the kitchen, we were eventually given a different cottage on the second day that was more shaded. It’s a shame they couldn’t arrange this sooner when I asked at the front desk on the first day, given the extreme heat in our cottage.

The front desk’s responsiveness also left much to be desired. During business hours, I tried calling for more than 10 minutes without getting anyone on the line. Eventually, I rode my bike to the front desk myself, where two staff members were present. It’s unclear why the phone wasn’t answered.

One thing I found truly concerning was the lack of supervision at the pool. There was no lifeguard on duty. I saw children in the main pool without adult supervision, even though they clearly couldn’t swim yet. In addition, there were visitors using the pool in regular outdoor clothing (long pants, long sleeves, and headscarves), while others were not following the pool rules. Without supervision, this creates unsafe situations.

Another downside I noticed was that the pool closes as early as 6:00 p.m., even during a heat wave and on the hottest day of the year. Since there is no permanent supervision by a lifeguard and visitors are admitted by a receptionist, it seems strange that the pool cannot stay open longer on such exceptionally hot days.

Furthermore, there are no lounge chairs or enough seating around the pool, which is a shame if you want to stay there a little longer.

The additional costs were also disappointing. You’re required to rent bed linens through the park, even if you bring your own. For a three-night stay, I paid €75 for bed linens and tourist tax. Towels weren’t included, and there wasn’t even a kitchen towel. You have to pay extra for just about everything.

The pans in the kitchen were in need of replacement. They were warped, and the nonstick coating was severely damaged and covered in scratches.

Finally, I’d like to mention that Henschotermeer, which is prominently featured in the photos on the website, is not part of the vacation park. It’s located about 250 meters away, requires an admission fee, and gets very crowded on sunny days.

In summary, this is a lovely vacation park with well-maintained accommodations and good amenities. For a summer stay, however, I would only recommend a cottage with air conditioning. Without air conditioning, I definitely do not recommend staying here during hot periods.
