A day trip to the south

Take a trip south and visit cozy Flemish cities. A 40-minute drive away is Bruges. Stroll through the historic city center, head to one of the 50 chocolatiers and taste a Brugse Zot. Rent a SUP to get into the water, go kayaking in the surf, or book a lesson in wave surfing. Don't want to get in the water, but want to do something adventurous on the beach? Then let yourself be pulled by the wind while blokarting or try to control a kite during an afternoon of power kiting. Less than half an hour's drive from the glamping is Het Zwin nature park. This green area is no less than 155 acres and attracts many birds and other animals in addition to people. A day at the museum

    This campground really surprised us in a good way! Everything was perfect: a great location, just a 3-minute bike ride to the sandy beach, a beautifully landscaped and very well-maintained site, very clean, nearly new restroom facilities, dog-friendly, sports facilities, and a high-quality indoor playground—even for teens. The staff was very helpful and friendly. The pizza at the “
    ” spot tastes great. We’d love to come back next year!

    Dieser Campingplatz hat uns sehr positiv überrascht! Alles hat gestimmt: Top Lage, 3 Minuten mit dem Fahrrad zum Sandstrand, schön angelegter sehr gepflegter Platz, sehr saubere neuwertige Sanitäreanlagen, Hundefreundlich, Sportanlagen und hochwertiger Indoor-Spielplatz- auch für Teenies.     A fantastic location and a great stay at the beach house! The booking process went smoothly, the staff at the front desk were very friendly, and the house met our expectations exactly. Minor issues were also handled great by the service team after a short wait. The bread delivery service to the beach is fantastic.
    One minor downside given the price point: you have to make the beds yourself 😆. All in all, though, I highly recommend it!

    Traumhafte Lage und ein toller Aufenthalt im Strandhaus! Die Buchung lief reibungslos, der Empfang an der Rezeption war sehr freundlich und das Haus entsprach genau unseren Erwartungen. Kleinere Defekte wurden vom Service nach etwas Wartezeit ebenfalls super gelöst. Der Brötchenlieferservice zum Strand ist grandios.
    Ein kleiner Wermutstropfen bei dem Preisniveau: Betten selbst beziehen 😆. Alles in allem aber absolut empfehlenswert!

    In January, we booked a campsite with private restroom facilities for October (October 3–10) at Camping Zonneweelde. We chose this campsite because it advertises entertainment during the fall break, and we wanted that for our daughter so she could meet other children. We paid 900 euros for this week.

    Pros:
    - the campground is beautifully … landscaped and very well-maintained
    - the staff is friendly
    - it’s a short drive to the ocean, and there are some very nice towns in the area

    They ask that you contact them if you’re not satisfied. So my husband and I went to the front desk on October 7 and brought up the following issues:

    - The bathroom is constantly cooled down to 18 degrees, which, according to the lady at the front desk, isn’t cold
    --> We were nevertheless able to agree on 21 degrees, and the technician was already on site before we returned from the front desk and set the new temperature for us
    - There are no entertainment activities during the fall break (only in the Dutch facilities)
    – There are no dishwashing facilities outside the private bathrooms, since the standard restrooms don’t provide hot water without a special card; the dishwasher is too small even for three people, even if you run it after every meal
    --> we were able to agree that we would receive a card for washing dishes at the regular restroom building

    Despite the great location and the beautiful campground, we’re very annoyed that the information on the website regarding the entertainment program is incorrect and that they still wouldn’t meet us halfway on the price. We could have at least agreed on a voucher. By the way, everyone pays a different price for the exact same spot. Prices ranged from 380 euros to 900 euros (we must have been unlucky) for the seven-day stay at a site with private restroom facilities during our time there.

    Wir haben im Januar einen Stellplatz mit Privatsanitär für Oktober (03.10. bis 10.10.) auf dem Camping Zonneweelde gebucht. Wir haben uns für diesen Platz entschieden, da er mit Animation in den Herbstferien wirbt und wir uns das für unsere Tochter wünschen, damit sie andere Kinder kennenlernen kann. Wir haben 900 Euro für diese Woche bezahlt.

    Positiv:
    - der Platz ist wunderschön angelegt und sehr gepflegt
    - das Personal ist freundlich
    - man ist schnell am Meer und in der Umgebung gibt es sehr schöne Städte

    Es wird darum gebeten, den Kontakt zu suchen, wenn man nicht zufrieden ist. Daher sind mein Mann und ich am 07.10. zur Rezeption und haben folgende negative Punkte vorgetragen:

    - Bad wird ständig auf 18 Grad heruntergekühlt, was laut der Dame an der Rezeption nicht kalt ist
    --> wir konnten uns dennoch auf 21 Grad einigen und der Techniker war noch vor unserer Rückkehr von der Rezeption am Platz und hat die neue Temperatur für uns eingestellt
    - es findet keine Animation in den Herbstferien statt (nur in den niederländischen)
    - Spülmöglichkeiten außerhalb der Privatsanitär sind nicht gegeben, da an den normalen Sanitäranlagen ohne eine besondere Karte kein warmes Wasser kommt; die Spülmaschine ist sogar für drei Personen zu klein, auch wenn man sie nach jeder Mahlzeit laufen lässt
    --> wir konnten uns einigen, dass wir eine Karte für das Spülen an dem normalen Sanitärgebäude bekommen

    Trotz der tollen Lage und dem schönen Platz, ärgeren wir uns sehr darüber, dass die Angaben auf der Homepage bezüglich der Animation fehlerhaft sind und uns trotzdem preislich nicht entgegengekommen wurde. Man hätte sich ja auf einen Gutschein einigen können. Jeder zahlt übrigens einen anderen Preis für den identischen Platz. Von 380 Euro bis 900 Euro (da haben wir wohl Pech gehabt) war für die sieben Tage für den Stellplatz mit Privatsanitär in unserem Zeitraum preislich alles vertreten.
