The property itself is really well-maintained and is literally a stone’s throw from the ocean—a huge plus!
Unfortunately, that’s where the positives ended: Our little cottage was very dirty when we arrived. You could joke that at least it saves you the big scrubbing job in the end, but all joking aside: it was really extremely dirty. On top of … that, the walls feel like they’re made of paper. You can hear every single flush from the toilet, and there’s absolutely no privacy inside the house. Except for the bathroom, not a single room could be locked. Our kids kept waking up at night just because someone flushed the toilet or was having a normal conversation.
As for recreational activities: There’s a nice playground on the grounds. The swimming pool, however, was closed (and, according to other reviews, apparently has been for quite some time). If you want to go bowling, you’d better bring some luck: The bowling alley didn’t have a single available time slot left, and I had checked availability a full month in advance.
Another positive highlight is the small on-site store. They have fresh rolls every day and everything you need for a vacation like this—albeit at the typical, somewhat higher prices. Read more Show less

A nice, well-kept park that’s very dog-friendly; it’s separated from the beach by a road; there’s a nice restaurant

Great bungalows with fenced-in lots, ideal for vacations with your dog. The restaurant in the park also serves good food. At the adjacent market, you can stock up daily on fresh bread rolls and everyday essentials. The park is clean and well-maintained and is located right behind the dike. Just a few meters on foot and you’re at the North Sea estuary of the Westerschelde.

A very nice and clean park, dog-friendly and quiet, close to the ocean and within walking distance—I’d love to come back again and again!

A very well-maintained property.

We stayed there with our dog from August 10–13. The resort was very well-maintained. The beach was within easy walking distance, and it was also very clean and spacious. Unfortunately, the chalet wasn't as well-maintained. The double bed was fine—the mattresses were new—but the “room” with the two single beds, if you can even call it that, was … a disaster. There were large yellow stains on the mattresses; I couldn’t bring myself to lie down in either of the beds. First, I washed the so-called mattress protector by hand, then dried it, laid it on the sofa, and slept there.
On the first day and the last day, we reported the condition of the mattresses to the front desk, but unfortunately, we haven’t received any response to date. Read more Show less
