We stayed at this campground for the first time from September 13 to September 27, 2026. With a “small” RV and a large tent, we parked in one of the RV sites there.

The campground is in a beautiful location, right behind or in front of the dunes leading to the beach. The walk to the beach is lovely.

The restroom facilities could … probably use a little renovation. But honestly, I don’t need hotel-style luxury at a campground. There are toilets and showers. That’s enough. Just in case, there are washing machines and dryers. You’ll need quite a bit of change for those, but you can easily get change at the front desk or in the campground store.

The campsites are all separated by hedges, which gives you some privacy. While we were there, though, I found the campground to be quite noisy. Unfortunately, there are people who don’t really care about a good night’s sleep. But okay… that doesn’t change anything about the campground itself.

The store is well-stocked, though of course much more expensive than at a regular discount store. But you can get your morning roll or whatever else you want for breakfast.

Vrouwenpolder is just a few minutes away by bike, and the surrounding towns and villages are all easily accessible by bike as well.

If you need to or want to do a bit more shopping, it’s worth driving to Kamperland to the Albert Heijn, since the Plus store in Vrouwenpolder isn’t exactly cheap either.

Now back to the campground.
There’s a restaurant right at the reception desk. I have to give them a special thanks. On the evening of our arrival, we went there to grab a bite to eat.
Unfortunately, I’m intolerant to a very, very wide range of foods, which makes eating out a real challenge. One of the women working there was surprised that I just wanted a serving of fries and immediately asked if there was anything I couldn’t eat. That was incredibly thoughtful, and on top of that, she put together a salad for me that met my needs. I thought that was so incredibly sweet. A thousand thanks again for that 😊🤗

All in all, I can really recommend this spot. This won’t be our last visit here.

A quick note: at the RV sites, there’s always one electrical box for every two spots. There’s no water hookup at the site itself. However, there is water available along the path between the sites.

Oh no...the site seems to be very popular with dog owners. I’ve never seen so many dogs in my life. However, dogs must be kept on a leash on the grounds. Read more Show less
