Zeebad Breskens: glamping on the Zeeland coast in Zeeland
Holiday park Zeebad is within walking distance of the wide sandy beach of Breskens, where the beach, dunes and sea form the perfect ingredients for a relaxing holiday on the Zeeland coast. There is always something to do at the park. Taste local beer at The Half Moon Brewery
The Half Moon Brewery in Bruges has been brewing beer in the heart of the city for generations. You can take a tour of the brewery, where you will see the brewing kettles, the coolship and the storage rooms. Afterwards, you can taste the beer in the brewery's own tavern, where dishes that complement the flavours are also served. The brewery also has an underground beer pipeline to a cafΓ© on the edge of the city. Beer lovers can take a bottle home with them.

Kayaking on the Western Scheldt
The Western Scheldt is a broad, open stretch of water with strong currents and tides. Organised canoe routes follow the calmer creeks in the polders, where you can paddle sheltered from the wind and current. Along the banks, you will see reed beds, meadow birds and sometimes a seal on a sandbank. Rental locations in the region provide equipment and explain the tides, which you need to take into account when planning. It is an activity that makes the polder landscape of Zeelandic Flanders look completely different at water level.
Breskens and the crossing to Flushing
Breskens is a short distance from the park and is a pleasant seaside resort with a lively fishing harbour, atmospheric terraces and a variety of shops. Stroll along the quay, taste fresh fish or enjoy the view over the Western Scheldt as impressive seagoing ships pass by. The ferry to Flushing departs from the harbour, taking you to the other side of the Western Scheldt in around twenty minutes. There, you can walk straight onto the promenade and discover a lively city with shops, restaurants and a historic town centre. The crossing is an experience in itself, with beautiful views over one of Europe's busiest shipping routes. In a single outing, you can effortlessly combine the charm of Breskens with the lively atmosphere of Flushing.
Cycling and birdwatching at the Zwin Nature Park
About a twenty-minute drive away is the Zwin Nature Park, a special nature reserve on the border between the Netherlands and Belgium. This vast tidal landscape consists of mudflats, salt marshes, dunes and creeks, and is a paradise for nature lovers and birdwatchers. Thanks to the well-designed walking and cycling paths, you can explore the area at your own pace while enjoying wide-open views and the peace of nature. Be sure to bring binoculars, as you can regularly spot spoonbills, storks and other special bird species from the various viewpoints. At the visitor centre, you can learn more about how the area was formed and the unique interplay between sea, wind and nature. A wonderful destination for an active day outdoors.

We spent 12 days in mid-August at Landal Park Zeebad with two families, and each of us had a lodge for 6 people.
The park is in a wonderful location right on the North Sea. No matter where you are in the park, you can get to the beach very quickly on foot. Thatβs a major advantage of this park. For entertainment, the park offers an indoor pool, β¦ a sports hall, and playgrounds. The opening hours are sometimes quite short; the pool and sports hall are closed in the late afternoon or evening. You should keep that in mind. You can also rent go-karts or bikes.
You can eat in the snack area, which serves typical Dutch dishes. In the morning, you can buy fresh rolls.
For shopping, thereβs a Jumbo supermarket less than 2 km away; the selection is great and the prices are reasonable. You can dine at the beach pavilion or in Breskens itself (the walk is doable on foot).
Keep in mind that there are no (childrenβs) activities, except for coloring pages or a puzzle kit, which you can rent for a fee. However, I donβt consider this a criticism, since you can find out about the specific offerings on the Landal website before booking.
Both families were satisfied with the lodges; we found the space to be perfectly adequate and even generous. As for cleanliness and amenities, we canβt confirm the negative reviews. But it probably always depends on the specific house.
Overall, itβs a beautiful park, but it also has areas where (probably vacant) houses donβt make such a good impression. These are likely privately owned or in need of renovation.
Conclusion: Thanks to its location, this park is highly recommended for days at the beach or excursions into the wonderful surrounding area. Even in bad weather, thereβs plenty to do in the swimming pool and the sports hall. However, if youβre looking for a lot of entertainment or dining and shopping options within the park itself, you should probably choose a different park.this is a translation, click here for the original

A beautiful, but very large park. The cottages are neat, but we would have liked the bedrooms to be a bit bigger. As is typical for a Landal park, there are lots of dogs, but itβs not dog-friendly. There arenβt any nice walking paths for the dogs, so the only place to walk them is the yard (either your own or one of the neighborsβ).
