This is our first time at a Valamar CP and we are totally thrilled. The pitch, the facilities, the sanitary facilities - everything was first class.

Did a week of glamping at this park. And that was certainly not a punishment. Large park but you do not notice this. Had the feeling of luxury camping in nature. From the park you can walk straight into the nature reserve of De Zanding.

A week's holiday, we booked mainly for the pools... We weren't told at the time of booking that the lower pools were closed... too bad. The pool hours were noted until 8pm on the reservation, being in September I can understand that it closes earlier so 7pm. But 7pm is 7pm, 6:30pm pool closed. The cleanliness of our mobile home was not great. Musty smell, the switches and plugs so dirty. And don't look under the beds... That said, the campsite is well placed, the peace and quiet we were looking for was there, and in the heart of beautiful villages. The restaurant staff are top-notch. But we won't be back.

The cottage was not or very poorly cleaned. Coat racks hang loose, no free outlet to connect floor lamp, very few free sockets, operation stop sinks of kitchen does not work, mold on woodwork, water softener squeaked all the time (had to be refilled with salt), far too few hangers. The inside of the cottage could use some freshening up. I did not use the closet, looked dirty and a weird smell.

Beautiful home in beautiful surroundings.

Camping TREMENDOUSLY expensive for what it offers.

This campsite is ridiculously overpriced — about 3 to 4 times more expensive than other places I stayed along the Rota Vicentina (hammock). The reception was unresponsive (I tried calling several times before arriving, but nobody answered or called back). They advertise themselves as a 4-star camping, but I didn’t find anything 4-star about it. The bathrooms were not clean (it’s been a long time since they’ve had a proper deep cleaning), and the cake I had at the restaurant didn’t taste fresh. The only “extra” included for the high price was toilet paper. Feels like a tourist trap.

Super camping. We were in the after season. The mobile homes were clean and most of them new. Everything was nicely taken care of. And when you wanted to leave early you could hang up your key in a locker and go. Not at 9 and then wait until all the cutlery was counted, which we normally have. Felt like trusting camping guests! We only used the takeout service and it was delicious. Close to the river. And close to larger towns. Just great!

Make sure before you go if the bar/restaurant will be closed. If we knew it was not open we would not have gone. I think this is an important fact that should be announced on the web.

We are currently on the site with our camper van. Generous pitches. Partly overgrown with weeds, but that doesn't bother us. Top sanitary facilities, cleaning around the clock. Very clean, I don't think it could be better. Sea wonderful, water clear, beach clean. We did not visit any restaurants. We can only recommend the campsite

Not concerned by the rooms. Would benefit from a larger, more inviting pool.
