To pay a visit to Traben-Trarbach, we drove to this site as our first destination (we came from Luxembourg) and were easily convinced by the very friendly reception of the son of the site operator to set up our domicile here for the night. We also had beautiful weather on the way there, on our bike trip to Traben-Trarbach and on the way back, with a break at Essen. Unfortunately, the weather changed, so we decided to stay only one night. Pros for the pitch: everything you need is there. Unfortunately, work was underway on the new construction of the additional sanitary building at the time, so it looked a bit like a building site. However, this didn't bother us as we could already see the campsite of the future. And the price for one night was not at the dizzying heights of other campsites in the area. And the view is comparable. And remember, motorhome drivers greet each other.

I chose this park because there were many positive reviews on Google .But I was very disappointed.Starting with the communication through messages and practically useless ,I asked many times if the money arrived but they did not answer and even at the end they had cashed the money but canceled my bungalow.After several calls despite not speaking German well they confirmed my reservation.They tell us to arrive after 15.00 ,but we arrive at 17 and in reception there was no one left and they warn us that the keys are in an envelope ☹️...We finally arrive at bungalow 43 ,we are speechless we didn't get the luxury one but the cleanliness should seem to be there ,it smelled all cooped up and damp ,couch curtains pillows beds all dirty ,full of dust and cobwebs,and a cold to no end ...Guess what ,the owners leave no instructions on how to turn on the electricity or gas for heating.For gas one has to go outside to find a little wheel to turn for grandma's stove and in the kitchen there is an imbiando to be pressed many times to get hot water ...We go in search of a neighbor to help us ,after half an hour we manage to find the master's house who explains what to do ☹️, the power system is located in the 'closet of the children's room at the bottom within reach really absurd !!! We decide to clean up the next day we were tired from the trip but we couldn't sleep, grandma's stove heats only the living room and the 2 tiny bedrooms and bathroom remain frozen.We curl up on the couch and finally get some sleep ..The next day we buy everything blankets deodorant and detergent and you give a good cleaning, because one of their rules and if you don't leave clean they want more money for cleaning that they didn't do seems logical right? ... The stores all on time if you deviate you don't find anything open.Only a pool ... The only my star goes to the aesthetics of the park all clean and tidy,many games for children a nice pond ....Ma I lost my son during a walk , because when you walk in the woods there is no signage that tells you how to return you enter a maze that makes you always return to the same point absurd but true ,a guy passing by helps us find our way again.In short it was not for me a good vacation. I visit these kinds of Dutch parks every year, but I never had a bad experience like this ...

Update 30/10/2024 - Dog area pitches on August 2025 are all sold out! But how can anyone attend such a facility? Absurd!!! Nice campsite no doubt, but if you have dogs it is always very complicated to book. The dog area is undersized compared to the overall size of the campground. You have to book from year to year otherwise you never find a place. 2 stars for very poor accessibility for guests with dogs

Our accommodation was very clean and nicely furnished. The park was almost in fall/winter hibernation, but you could sense how great it can be around the lake in summer. Hikes in the area take place in a great heath landscape. On the two bad weather days, we were also able to spend time in the indoor playground. We really enjoyed our week.

Personality and small scale

At "Vakantiepark De Kleine Belties" in Hardenberg already on "a number of day visits" been to this holiday park, to a number of "holiday" acquaintances of mine. I have seen the available facilities extensively enough, the lake and beach, the swimming pool, the cafeteria, the camping, a number of holiday homes, the recreation team, the squirrel mascot "the sports fields, the reception, the shop. My contact moment with the staff was nice and helpful. Due to my irregular work and privacy I keep it to a limited few day visits and I prefer to stay overnight elsewhere in a B&B or hotel if applicable.

We felt very comfortable. Clean, very well-kept complex, super friendly staff, relaxed location. We will be back!

Camping was good.

Enjoyed staying in one of the Wellness Lodges. Was very clean. Bakker Piet's breakfast was super good for us. There is a lot to do in the area, which was also very nice. The ladies at the reception were super nice. We will definitely come back!

Liked: We liked the surroundings near the woods by the water. The bike rental came in handy and the camp shop was well stocked. Disliked: The sanitary facilities were adequate but not particularly clean.

Very much enjoyed the nice atmosphere and the beautiful accommodation. We rented a cabin with a hot tub and had very good food at the restaurant. Definitely worth it, I would make another booking. It was also very nice for our daughter.

Camping 4 stars to 6 km sa Alghero, in front of a beautiful beach but with a lot of algae , camper pitches large and with services , bathrooms to improve the cleanliness, showers to fix certainly not from a 4 star , excellent restaurant and pizzeria, camping very large and do not accompany you to see the pitch, the payment of can do only in the afternoon seems absurd to me!!! Then I find it very bad that with what you pay in addition to the tourist tax they also charge you 4 euros a day ecological tax.
