Camping de ChênefleurWe just returned from a long weekend at this campground. And that was long enough too. We had a safari tent, it was fine but there was also much in need of replacement. For example, the outdoor table, made of plastic, was broken in the corner. Some screws were not properly in the shelves (where you walk on) Here we have ourselves but a mat to avoid accidents. Our son fell and had a head wound, to my great surprise, the first aid box was not in order. It only contained some band-aids and a disinfectant that I had no idea how old it was. She advised us to go to the pharmacy in the village, both pharmacies turned out to be closed. Then we went to a local doctor, who did almost nothing about it but could charge us for the 3 minutes we were inside. They never got back to us or asked how we were doing. Because they had no bandage, we had to pay 53 euros to the local doctor. I thought the course of action was really bad, no first aid experience and no first aid box in order. The area was also really deserted. The campground was fine but that's about it for us.

Wij zijn net weer terug van een lang weekend op deze camping. En dat was lang genoeg ook. Wij hadden een safaritent, deze was prima maar er was ook veel toe aan vervanging. Zo was de buiten tafel, van plastic, in de hoek kapot. Sommige schroeven zaten niet goed in de planken (waar je op loopt) Hier hebben we zelf maar een loopmat opgelegd om ongelukken de voorkomen. Ons zoontje was gevallen en had een hoofdwond, tot mijn grote verbazig was de EHBO doos niet op orde. Er zaten alleen wat pleisters in en een ontsmettingsmiddel waarvan ik geen idee had hoe oud die al was. Ze raadde ons aan even naar de apotheek in het dorp te gaan, beide apotheken bleken dicht. Vervolgens bij een locale huisarts beland, die deed er vrijwel niks aan maar mochten wel even aftikken voor die 3 minuten dat we binnen waren. De camping is er nooit meer bij ons op terug gekomen of gevraagd hoe het nu gaat. Doordat zij geen verband hadden, moesten wij 53 euro aftikken bij de locale huisarts. Ik vond de gang van zaken echt slecht, geen EHBO ervaring en geen EHBO doos op orde. De omgeving was ook echt uitgestorven. De camping was verder wel prima maar daar is het voor ons ook echt wel mee gedaan.

FarmCamps De SmulhoeveWe enjoyed a blissful extended weekend! Not far across the border from Belgium is this beautiful campsite with very luxurious tents. Our kids had a grooming pony to pet and ride. Making new friends on the playground and a walk in the woods with the ponies. They had a great time here!!! Back home with a backpack full of memories.

Wij hebben genoten van een zalig verlengd weekend! Niet ver over de grens met België ligt deze mooie camping met zeer luxueuze tenten. Onze kids hadden een verzorgpony om te vertroetelen en op te rijden. Nieuwe vriendjes maken op het speelplein en een wandeling in de bossen met de pony’s. Ze hebben zich prima kunnen vermaken hier!!! Met een rugzak vol herinneringen terug naar huis.
