Great stay at this Huttopia campsite in Sarlat. The promise of nature, calm and rejuvenation was totally fulfilled. Friendly staff, clean sanitary facilities, spacious comfort pitches... Dozens of sites and activities within a 30-minute drive of the campsite. Well done to the entire huttopia team for their work on this site. I'll be back without hesitation.

Cottage is in a good location, even though the cottage is on a busy busy park, it was nice and quiet, the cottage was attractively and comfortably furnished, had nice beds, a nice bathroom and the air conditioning was totally a godsend with that hot weather.

I can overall not recommend this campsite. The owner is rude and the facilities are not very good or hygienic. My wife and kids bought icecreams from the small store paying a girl who working there. Upon leaving the store (my wife was now 20 meters down the road) the campsite owner yelled that she took the icecreams strongly implying she hadn't paid. The girl in the shop showed him the money and they started laughing/smiling. He didn't even say sorry for the mistake and it wasn't a fun experience especially when our kids was also there. The facilities are not very good or hygienic in the sense that: The old showers only have an on/off function which can't be adjusted in temperature. Resulting in our kids refusing to wash themselves because it was too hot. We later found out that you can shower in an new'ish building close to where temperature could be adjusted. It can't get that warm but it's much better. The water for washing dishes was not very warm. We instead went to the old shower to get the hot water to wash the dishes with. I think maybe it has something to do with not enough water was being used so cold water from the pipes were being used. The toilets have toilet brushes hanging on the wall resulting in toilet water dripping from the brush to the floor which gathers on the floor. It's not very hygienic and our youngest kid got hers pants wet from the toilet water when she put her pants down to her angles. When I gave the owner feedback regarding the toilet brushes he got very argumentative blaming customers and kids in the past who play with the brushes as well as the cups from the brushes get filled too quickly (even though he told me that they clean 3 times a day). He also said the neighboring 5* campsite also hangs brushes on the wall which isn't true as I checked the day after. Also it is a 4 stars site. Maybe it's a French thing having brushes on the wall as we haven't seen it before in either Germany, Poland, Austria, Italy, Czech Republic or Denmark and it was our first time in France. We ended up in a bit of a discussion and it wasn't very professional. Like come on... We're talking feedback on toilet brushes! He also started complaining about customers doesn't treat the facilities very nicely/like home (which I on a general basis agree with) and that customers who go to the toilet only washes hand 2 out of 10 times. I'm unsure what it had to do with toilet brushes hanging on the wall. If only he could just have taken the feedback with a polite "thank you for the feedback" whether he agreed with me or not. He also accused me of not being from the campsite because I had a wristband from the neighboring campsite and raised his voice quite a lot.. It was due to our friends staying on that campsite and we visited them a lot. He literally told me he didn't want feedback from someone who wasn't a customer and wanted me to come to the reception to prove we were paying customers asking for specific details to prove it. He raised his voice quite a lot which was very uncomfortable. The owner honestly seems to be in the wrong line of work... It's hard to believe they/their family have owned the campsite for 30 years with such terrible customer handling skills. It was very uncomfortable and my blood was boiling afterwards. If we hadn't already paid for the entire duration of our stay we would have found somewhere else to stay for the remainder of our trip. Luckily we met a lot of polite and nice French during our stay... The girl and boy who worked at the campsite was always smiling and polite. Best thing about the campsite is that it's rather small and isn't very noisy. I'm guessing it caters mostly to families with small children and elders who don't want the noise. I was contemplating 2 or 3 stars but ultimately decided on 2 stars as the incidents with the owner wasn't a plesent experience as well as the facilities were worse than what I would expect. Had the owner not acted this way I would probably have given 3 stars and if the facilities were better even 4 stars.

Super nice, child-friendly campsite. Fien and Teun were there and then ate delicious waffles. Facilities are clean and owners and other staff, helpful and friendly.

Gorgeous place great food lots of relaxation fast and excellent service. Beautiful evening. Fabulous campsite. Hygee.

We liked the houseboat very much, also because of the 1st location on the jetty. It was a little quieter that way.

Fantastic! 2nd time we stayed with you and again a success! Beautiful, clean complete cottages. Beautiful and neatly landscaped park. Convenient and clear app with clear information. Fun activities for the kids. Cozy brasserie, with a delicious and fun menu!

Nice large pitches (unfortunately without water & waste water connection, but that is now a luxury problem from our side), owners very friendly, restaurant offers good / delicious food (menu unfortunately only in Dutch) Unfortunately, we didn't like everything else. - Toilets, showers, flushing facilities very outdated & not clean! (Partly no toilet paper available, soap in the men's toilet was always empty & was not refilled, dirt everywhere on the floor, especially on the carpets. -There are cigarettes everywhere on the main square (reception) (there are no ashtrays anywhere) - if you walk towards the cycle path, it resembles a garbage dump at the end of the campsite -night's rest is not observed at all - Biggest minus point: everything is only labeled in Dutch, e.g. how to get hot water. In Belgium 3 languages are spoken or at least English would have been helpful. A great pity, as this is actually a campsite with a lot of potential.

Beautiful quiet campground. With friendly owners. We stood 3 days at the jetty with our tent. Where we had beautiful view over the lake. The service buildings are outdated but super clean. There is a small dog beach where you can swim with your dog, this is separate from the swimming area in the lake. The surroundings are beautiful. Recommended is the nature reserve which is a 45 minute drive away. The drive there is already beautiful. We will definitely come back

What a fantastic stay we had. This was the vacation we were looking for. Peace and quiet and all the luxuries we wanted we had. Our 3 year old son had the time of his life! On Saturday came to the pool also an employee with bakfiets with drinks at the pool this we found very nice

What a fantastically beautiful place. Pitches are very spacious and nicely set up. The lake and the views are top, We stood by a stream and there were even cows walking on the other side so nice. Also you can make your own campfire on certain spots where else can you find that. Is everything perfect no not. The new owners work hard and really want to make something beautiful out of it. The previous owners have neglected it quite a bit and the new owners couldn't get it done before the season. They are very hospitable and helpful. In short definitely highly recommended and I'm sure there will be another campsite next season. I will continue to follow them on Facebook.
