Beautiful view and accommodation

2-star campsite currently being rebuilt. The setting is ideal for recharging your batteries and spending some quiet time. We stayed in a mobile home. We found it quite clean. The pitches are shaded. Campsite located on the banks of the Etang des Bois with beach, supervised swimming and snack bar. A campsite with a lot of potential... There's still work to be done, but we had a great week.

Nice campsite, good atmosphere and all basic facilities available. Wood chopping was a highlight for the kids as well the story telling around the bon fire. Swimming pool is a bit out dated but perfect for warm days. The campsite is in transition and, in my opinion, the owners are doing a good job to change things step by step. Sure they will manage well and looking foreword to visit again in the future and I’m sure the pizza’s will be improved by then as well ;-)

Batenstein is a nice city campsite. It is within walking distance of the center of Woerden and the train station. The site is very clean with a modern wash house. The manager of the site is very friendly and helpful.

The quiet surroundings and the neat caravan

We arrived with the caravan. The site is great and has a small sand playground. Very great campsite. Very clean. The entertainment for children is also great in the mornings and evenings. Swimming pool is also sufficient. And the playground for the children is also great.

The bathing option

Passed through for a night in a Bivouac tent during the Loire à vélo (campsite located 2-3 kms from the Loire à vélo - a slight detour that's well worth it). Good welcome from owners and catering team. Bivouac tent with small terrace, equipped with electrical outlets for recharging our accessories, correct bedding. We were warm, but in a heatwave it's hard to get air in this kind of tent. Quiet location. I'd recommend it for an overnight stay during a cycling trip. Evening catering on site, burger and fries that kept us well supplied.

Beautiful campsite

Totally unfriendly lady at reception! An hour before we set off I phoned op we could rent a kayak at 13.00 as we had an hour's drive... No problem, they said... On arrival at the reception I was told at 13.05 this would no longer be possible and too late so back home 2 hours drive with the kids for Nix.... Thank you -#@%

The location is good but there's not much to do next door, especially during the heatwave and in summer in the cabins it's much too hot. There's enough space for 4 people but for 6 I think it's just right and in the cabins it's too small for 4 so you have to stay only on the terrace but at night it's much cooler.

Beautiful photos for a not so beautiful place. Unfortunately there is no real access to the lake, the lake was contaminated with blue-green algae, so you can't get into the water. There are far too few dishwashing tabs etc. and then you have to clean it yourself when you leave - which is an absolute joke considering the price. There is a threat that you will be charged extra if you don't leave everything swept clean. Apart from that, there is no broom here. |||| Some of the houses only have sun loungers - unfortunately we didn't have any. You couldn't borrow any either. The beds are a disaster and it wasn't really clean either. ||||We left 5 days early because the lake wasn't usable and unfortunately there was nothing else to do here. Of course we didn't get our money back, there was zero accommodation here. ||||Our conclusion: Expensive rip-off!
