Camping La ChiocciolaWe spent just under 3 weeks here in a mobile home. The current owners have really done their best to make something of it. They have started a lot of renovation work. Unfortunately, the campground is now going back to the old owner. Unfortunately....

We hebben hier een kleine 3 weken door gebracht in een stacaravan. De huidge eigenaren hebben echt hun best gedaan om er iets van te maken. Ze zijn begonnen met veel opknap werkzaamheden. Helaas gaat de camping nu weer over naar de oude eigenaar. Helaas....

Camping La ChiocciolaHad a wonderful stay at a fine campground. We did notice a few things and when checking out, the current owner told us how things were. Two years ago the current owners leased the campsite from the owner of the adjacent municipal swimming pool. At the time, the campground was suffering from heavy overdue maintenance. The current owners went to great lengths to address this as business start-ups. Now that the campground has grown from two stars to several stars in those two years, the old owner (owner of the municipal pool) has decided to take back the campground and evict the current owners as of Aug. 31. This is really very unfortunate! The current owners have really tried their best to improve the campground but if it is taken away Aug. 31 I am sure it will not do the campground any good. There are too many traces of this from the past, and the state of the pool shows that the owner of the pool does not have high standards. So my review is based on the current owners. And I hope for the campground that the current owners will be allowed to stay after Aug 31 but I fear the worst.....

Heerlijk verblijf gehad op een prima camping. Wel zijn ons een aantal zaken opgevallen en bij het uit checken vertelde de huidige eigenaresse hoe de vork in de steel zat. De huidige eigenaren hebben twee jaar geleden de camping gepacht van de eigenaar van het aangrenzende gemeente zwembad. De camping had toen te maken met zwaar achterstallig onderhoud. De huidige eigenaren hebben er veel aangedaan om dit als startende ondernemers aan te pakken. Nu naar dat de camping in die twee jaar van twee sterren naar meerdere sterren is gegroeid heeft de oude eigenaar (eigenaar van het gemeente bad) besloten om de camping terug te nemen en de huidige eigenaren er vanaf 31 Augustus van af te zetten. Dit is echt heel jammer! De huidige eigenaren hebben echt hun best gedaan de camping te verbeteren maar als het 31 Augustus afgenomen wordt weet ik zeker dat dit de camping geen goed zal doen. Daar zijn te veel sporen van zichtbaar uit het verleden, en de staat van het zwembad laat zien dat de eigenaar van het zwembad geen hoge eisen stelt. Mijn recensie is dus gebaseerd op de huidige eigenaren. En ik hoop voor de camping dat de huidige eigenaren mogen blijven na 31 Aug maar ik vrees voor het ergste…..

’t StrandheemWe are at this campground for the second time. The first time we were happy. We now have our own bathroom and it is insanely old and dirty. No ventilation, mold in the joints, grout like it has never been washed. Old toilet brush. I do not recommend a private bathroom. The washroom is clean but there is no soap by the sinks, just like last year. The campsite is noisy, there are many young people running and shouting at night. We rented a camping spot far from the entrance, but unfortunately there are exits near the private sanitary facilities and kids run away from there. Our pitch was full of mud and holes, also our floor moved. The place was not ready, full of mud. Unfortunately, we did not take a photo. The foil on the floor should be thrown away. The pool is small, the changing rooms dirty, the shower stank of urine and the tiles around the floor were terribly dirty. Does anyone clean properly there? Old faucets are everywhere. The playground lacks benches where you can sit while your child is playing. Animators are nice, there are activities for children. The beach near the park is clean and well maintained. The store is small, a little short of goods, but it is cheap compared to other campsites. The price of the campground is affordable, but we will not return. Unfortunately, the campsite is dying out, there is a lack of investment here.

We zijn voor de tweede keer op deze camping. De eerste keer waren we blij. We hebben nu een eigen badkamer en die is waanzinnig oud en smerig. Geen ventilatie, schimmel in de voegen, voegen alsof ze nooit gewassen zijn. Oude toiletborstel. Ik raad een eigen badkamer niet aan. De sanitaire ruimte is schoon maar er ligt geen zeep bij de wasbakken, net als vorig jaar. De camping is gehorig, er zijn veel jonge mensen die 's avonds rennen en schreeuwen. We huurden een kampeerplaats ver van de ingang, maar helaas zijn er uitgangen bij de privé sanitair en rennen de kinderen daar weg. Onze kampeerplek zat vol modder en gaten, ook onze vloer bewoog. De plek was niet klaar, vol modder. Helaas hebben we geen foto gemaakt. De folie op de vloer dient weggegooid te worden. Het zwembad is klein, de kleedkamers vies, de douche stonk naar urine en de tegels rond de vloer waren vreselijk vies. Maakt iemand daar goed schoon? Oude kranen zijn overal. In de speeltuin ontbreken bankjes waar je kunt zitten terwijl je kind aan het spelen is. Animators zijn aardig, er zijn activiteiten voor kinderen. Het strand bij het park is schoon en goed onderhouden. De winkel is klein, een beetje tekort aan goederen, maar het is goedkoop in vergelijking met andere campings. De prijs van de camping is betaalbaar, maar we komen niet terug. Helaas sterft de camping uit, er is hier een gebrek aan investeringen.
