Camping very complete, especially if you go with children, because from what we saw there were animations both in the pools and at night. The campsite seemed expensive. The showers were very small and the toilets were fine. The plots are spacious, also let you walk around and choose yourself the plot. We had dinner at the campsite one night and the service was a bit chaotic, it took quite a while. On the other hand mention that it has an excellent location as it is a few meters from the beach, but also has a downside, every night we had to listen to concerts from the beach bar from bed. We enjoyed our stay.

Quiet, old-fashioned campsite with few hedges separating pitches, but large shade trees, decent sanitary facilities that match the atmosphere, activities on offer, indoor pool for parents with young children, free municipal pool right next door, a chocolatier (store and workshop) just outside the campsite.

It was very pleasant staying at the Swinnenbos campsite a family atmosphere , friendly reception, clean sanitary facilities, fun entertainment, well kept canteen. From there beautiful cycling routes to do. We will definitely return Family Droesbeke J - Hook N

Super room highly recommended

Camping the Strandheem may have been the "the place to be" in the past but that was in the past. Went camping with 2 families with our own caravan. Arrived there a super unfriendly German Andrea who certainly did not give us a warm welcome. Half German half Dutch she also berated the kids for having to pay for the Ghost Trip. The campsite was certainly once thriving but now mainly the regulars on the annual pitches, and only "loose" tents or caravans. The animation was really underwhelming for ages 14 and up. We had specifically looked at this and even called about it, but unfortunately, little fun to do for them. Swimming pool is very small and not really inviting. The beach is a super nice place...... but we had to walk a long way, about 15 min from where we stood. You understand that just with the sup up and down was not an option. On the map it looks like the campground is adjacent to the beach but the whole campground is fenced so you have to walk all the way around and couldn't cross in between as you could see on the kart. The campsite has been sold, Miss that the owners didn't feel like it anymore but it won't get any better. The permanent guests will slowly have to make way for the chalets! Very unfortunate because the campsite itself is really a picture!

Positive experience, recommended to see the island reachable by ferry

Sanitary buildings are getting on in years, 40 m to the nearest electricity connection. The reservation via pincamp worked out great.

We stood with a (self-built) motorhome. We cannot agree with previous negative reviews. Sufficiently spacious (green) places (we had a place without electricity), clean and new plumbing, a lovely pool and a more than excellent canteen, say restaurant with beautiful outdoor terrace. The neighborhood, well there is some vacancy in the immediate neighborhood (wss being replaced for new construction) but also many restaurants.

Szerencsénk volt már elég sok kempinget kipróbálni, de ez a kemping volt az egyik legjobb mind közül. Csendes, természetközeli nem túl nagy, de rengeteg lehetőség van jól eltölteni az időt. Gyerek medence, gyerek programok, felnőtt medence bárral. A tengerpartja kicsi, de szerintem épp elengednő és szép az elővilág. A wc/zuhanyzók nagyon szépek és tiszták. A személyzet kedvessége és segítőkészsége példa értékű. Biztosan visszatérünk ide!

We, 2 families with children, were there for the first 2 weeks of August....once and never again! The wash house that was so well advertised is fenced in and only accessible with a card for special guests. The rest is totally outdated, dirty, often not even warm water, neither for washing up nor for showering. If you are lucky, there is soap and toilet paper. What is also not mentioned is that the youth camp right next door also uses it. Full of teenagers from 5pm onwards, blocking everything for hours and loud music until 3am. This is not acceptable!!! Complaint, nobody cares!!! The pools, which are really very nice, sunbeds and umbrellas have to be paid for and the access to the sea so bad with the rocks does not work at all for small children or older people, at least not without getting hurt! The pitches, nice and big and shady, are never cleaned, I know differently. 4 stars and the place is not exactly cheap....we were really very disappointed!!!

A very pleasant and quiet night in a van at this beautiful campsite, ideally located at the end of the Conleau peninsula. The icing on the cake: a large heated swimming pool 👍
