We stopped for 1 night during our cycling trip at the beginning of August. Given the price of a bare pitch (€127 per night without vehicle), we were expecting a comfortable, upmarket campsite. Instead, we were surprised to see pitches crammed together with no vegetation. Overcrowded and very noisy. I wouldn't recommend it; other municipal campsites in the area are much nicer and more welcoming, for a much more affordable price. On the plus side: a beautiful swimming pool!

Beautiful large sites. Clean sanitary facilities. Sandwich service is fine. Highly recommended!

Positive: The drain in the mobilhome was blocked and the plumber was on site immediately and repaired the damage. However, I am skeptical about this again, does it even have to come to this and is the repair then no longer a matter of course. The staff at reception were friendly and helpful in our case. Negative: All other staff from the cleaning staff to the restaurant were unfriendly. The volume of the animation was far too loud, and why should the sun lounger and umbrella cost anything? Bathing caps? How old-fashioned. I have more chest hair than hair on my head, does that make sense? Restaurant, Coperti 3 euros per person is outrageous. Once and never again. No free wifi, 5 euros per day for sale. Shuttle bus inconvenient, inflexible and expensive. Garbage collection point right next to our bedroom. Disposal is a must, but it is possible around the clock. That can't be right. Public bus service a disaster. Who can see through that, have fun? Of course, some things are for sale, but they are included elsewhere. And we will gladly go there again.

To avoid especially if you are not coming by motorhome. If you are doing the Veloscenie by bike, don't even think of stopping here; look for a hostel or hotel at the same price or cheaper. Camping very expensive (at hotel price) and horrible. 136 euros 2 nights for a 4 person tent with bicycles. It is on a hill with the plots chaotically disordered; uneven ground with no grass, just hard, dry and dusty earth. Only four shameful places for couples of cyclists (worse than a roadside ditch). From 2 cyclists upwards they force you to other much more expensive pitches. Only one shared camping table for the whole campinh and no lighting. No common living room with toilets or plugs. Etc. The worst camping of my life.

Camping chosen 2 years ago for our family of 5 (3-week stays). Authentic, in the heart of the Retais countryside, the campsite is extremely pleasant and clean. The team is welcoming and very attentive. There's a wide range of activities and entertainment for children and families. Sainte Marie is our summer breath of fresh air. We'll be back next year!

We stayed on a pitch for 2 weeks in the high season: + The staff are super friendly, especially in the bar area, lots of students. It was a pleasure to get to know these nice people. + The restaurant serves pizza from 6pm, and it really is homemade, the dough is made daily. + The large, beautiful terrace is open all day, there are drinks from the bar and crêpes. + 1800m altitude, you can escape heat waves further down the valley. + The village with several bars, restaurants and stores within walking distance. o Some of the pitches are quite sloping, be sure to bring wedges, and they may not be enough. Some people get additional boards. o 1800m, the sun is very strong, bring 50+ sunscreen. - Far too few places in the sanitary area, which is terrible at peak times. - The store on the campsite only offers the bare essentials, I almost said, but there isn't even any mineral water. You have to walk into town to the Carrefour and carry or drive or bring everything with you.

I must say that the campground is very nice, the pine forest is wonderful, quiet and relaxing. The staff is very kind everything. However, it has some flaws, in my opinion, very important. I will preface this by saying that I cannot rate the rooms, as I stayed in a camper. Our pitch, like all the others I must say, was well maintained and shaded. The campground is a bit isolated, in fact there is no activity within walking distance. Also the beach is NOT a 10 minute walk as described but, especially for children, it takes much longer having to go through a very unpaved rural road. There is a shuttle service but at set times, not exactly convenient if you have small children. The swimming pool present in the facility, makes the stay pleasant however here also could be done better, especially since the campground is a 3⭐️. The pool should be reviewed a bit, and also the vegetation present in the surrounding area. The dry leaves of the palm trees could be trimmed. The hours of use were well managed! The thing, however, that I feel most strongly about concerns the restrooms! Few for such a large facility and especially poorly functioning showers: always clogged and often with broken boiler.... Too bad because the place deserves a stay!

A Scam, Beautiful from afar but very, very far from beautiful ... Let me summarize our 10 days: - Negative point: We took a pitch for two and some friends wanted to join us for 1 night (on their way back from holiday), the pitches being for 6 I asked the reception to pay extra for 1 night to be 4 on our pitch instead of 2. "Return from reception, impossible they have to take a pitch for them at 75€ per night...." while ours is for 6 and we are 2 (Disgusted). Unpleasant reception staff from the moment we arrived, with no smile and no warm welcome, as if you were bothering them to come to the campsite. Toilet to vomit, excrement on the walls, on the ground, vomit on the basins never I toilet paper. Dirty and dilapidated toilets, real lack of cleaning. Swimming pools full of people with no hygiene rules, people soaking themselves in flip-flops and clothes... Constant noise from 7 a.m. to 1 a.m. (screaming, parties, children's motorcycles, tuning cars...) even in the favélas of Rio it's quieter... - Positive points (not all can be negative) Well-maintained campsite with pleasant maintenance staff The pitches are shady and clean. The campsite is well secured. Good pitches The pictures would have been too much and surely censored ... (I would abstain)

Buy far the best active summer vacation you can gift yourself! Swimming, SUP, kayak, wind surfing, kite surfing, bike, e-bike, running, hiking... You can do all this from Arena as a Base Camp! Very clean, great hospitality, fair prices. Go for it, I know my family of 4 will do it again.

We had a very nice and spacious pitch. Unfortunately, the access to the beach was difficult, so you can only enjoy the view from the first row to the sea. However, we were very disappointed with the sanitary facilities. They are poorly maintained and were never clean. We therefore had the feeling that no effort was made to make the guests feel comfortable. At reception we felt like we were just being processed. The fish restaurant on the campsite was positive. Very nice service and delicious dishes. Overall, however, we were rather disappointed and will not book the campsite again.
