Step into the world of Dalí
Art lovers are in the right place at this glamping site on the Costa Brava. This is because here you can dive right into the world of Dalí, who was born in the town of Figueres. Figueres is less than half an hour away. In the city you will find the Dalí Theatre-Museum, which is considered the surrealist artist's greatest and last work. Head toward the coastal town of Cadaqués? Then visit Casa-Museu Salvador Dalí, the house where Dalí lived and worked for a long time. See how Dalí lived, where he drew inspiration from and view his beautiful works. This museum is about 45 minutes from the glamping, and has a great view of the bay of Portlligat.
Back in time at ancient forts in the region
Dive into history during a visit to one of the forts around the glamping area. Near the town of Figueres, 30 minutes away, is Castell de Sant Ferran, an old military fortress from the 18th century. If you head toward the town of Roses, you can visit Castell de la Trinitat, a fortress from the 16th century with great views of the sea.

We spent the weekend at the campground and were pleasantly surprised. Even though it was peak season, everything at the poolside restaurant was great—we were really impressed with the food and service.
Moha, a waiter who deserves a 10 out of 10—he was super attentive and friendly.

We had a campsite at Nautic Almata. The beach looks absolutely beautiful in the pictures, but that’s absolutely not the case in reality. It’s all littered with wood chips and wood scraps. A terrible stench wafts out from the canal (there are about 6–8 canals on every street). The campground is next to a nature reserve, which is why—I guess—they’re not allowed to use pest control against ants. Despite using insecticides, we had ants everywhere in the RV. We had high hopes based on the pictures… unfortunately, we’re more than disappointed. The sports facilities and the bar on the beach, on the other hand, were great. But we won’t be coming back...

We stayed at the Nautic Almata campground near Empuriabrava. The campground is very large and offers both central and very secluded sites. Depending on your location, however, the walks to the washhouse, pool, and other facilities can be quite long. In addition, the campground isn’t located directly in Empuriabrava, and there’s no public transportation. It takes a relatively long time to reach many tourist attractions, and Lidl or Aldi are about a 15-minute drive away.
Unfortunately, our campsite was very uneven and had a slope of about 10 cm. As a result, some of the furniture was at a steep angle and was practically teetering on the edge. The access road to the site is also very long and extremely bumpy.
The biggest problem for us was the internet. Cell phone reception is practically nonexistent at times, and even music sometimes fails to load. The Wi-Fi, with a maximum speed of about 1 Mbit/s, is also barely usable.
The washhouse is reasonably clean, but rather sparsely equipped for the size of the campground. There are 10 showers and 8 toilets, with an additional 3 urinals in the men’s section. On the plus side, the washing machines are great: 10 kg for 5 € and only about 42 minutes. The free dishwasher also works well. The trash cans along the roads are emptied regularly.
Another major problem is the ants, which are found all over the grounds. There are especially a lot of them around the washhouse. Sooner or later, you’ll likely find them at your own campsite as well, so you should be careful and store food properly. In addition, depending on the campsite, there can be a lot of mosquitoes at times.
The pool is okay and reasonably clean, though some of the tiles are loose. The pool table costs €2, but it’s hardly usable due to loose felt and a lack of space. The kids’ club is rarely open. The evening program repeats weekly, but it’s generally quite good.
The bar and pizzeria are on the expensive side, and the food at the pizzeria isn’t particularly tasty. The small supermarket is also significantly overpriced and consists mostly of Jumbo brand products. On the plus side, the reception staff is very friendly, and you can communicate in German. Starting at midnight, a security team on bicycles patrols the grounds. However, the gate also closes at midnight.
In terms of price, the campground is in the higher range.
Overall, 3 out of 5 stars. A large campground with friendly staff and some good facilities, but significant shortcomings regarding campsites, internet, insects, prices, and, in some cases, the infrastructure. For the relatively high price, we would have expected more overall.this is a translation, click here for the original
