Inside, the house feels bright and cosy thanks to light wooden walls and ceilings and large windows facing the fjord. The open-plan living room and kitchen are the heart of the home, where you can cook together, share long dinners and hang out on the sofa. On chilly days, light the wood-burning stove and settle in with a movie on the TV with Norwegian and international channels. Free WiFi lets you stay connected or stream your favourite playlists.

Above the living area you’ll find a small mezzanine with two chairs and a table – the perfect spot for a quiet coffee, a good book or late-night talks with a spectacular view of the water and the glowing sky.

The house has two bedrooms: one with a double bed and one with a family bunk bed (extra-wide lower bunk and single upper bunk). Above the bedrooms there is a loft with a double sofa bed and two extra mattresses, so everyone in your group can find a comfortable place to sleep. The plot around the cabin is sunny and child-friendly, ideal if you’re travelling with kids.

Just a few steps from the cabin there’s a private sauna for up to 6 people in a separate building. Here you can sit, warm up and gaze out over the fjord through the large windows – especially magical when the midnight sun paints the landscape in red and gold. Outside, the terrace with garden furniture and a barbecue invites you to long, lazy evenings together.

The surrounding landscape is made for exploring. Hike along the fjord or climb the nearby mountains for panoramic views – including the distinctive rock formation of Mount Reka across the water. Try your luck sea fishing directly in the fjord with a simple fishing rod, or plan road trips to discover Vesterålen and Lofoten. Drive to the small fishing villages on the west side of Langøya, explore the wild coast and sandy beaches of Andøya, or join a whale-watching trip from Andenes. With the ferry from Melbu to Fiskebøl, even Lofoten is within easy reach. Shops and restaurants in Sortland and Stokmarknes are only 25 km away, so you’re never far from everything you need.
