General information

The tent cottage offers everything you need for a relaxing stay. Inside, you will find a spacious living area with a cosy sofa and a large dining table where you can gather with the whole family or friends. Can't decide between indoors or outdoors? On the veranda, you can sit comfortably sheltered under the awning, with a picnic table and lounge chairs to relax in.

Fully equipped kitchen
Cooking becomes an adventure in itself! The kitchen is fully equipped with everything you need: from pots and pans to chopping boards, cutlery and – very importantly – a cheese slicer, egg cups and a milk frother. You can store your food in the cool box with ice packs, and for coffee, you can grind the beans yourself with the coffee grinder.

    Cancellation Policy


    • Cancellations can only be considered if communicated in writing by the main booker.

    • More than 6 weeks before the start of the stay, the booking can be cancelled in writing free of charge. The main booker will receive a full refund of the deposit in this case.

    • In case of cancellation between 6 and 3 weeks before the start of the stay, you have the right to change the date of the stay to an alternative in the same calendar year, or to a refund of 50% of the booking value. If the new date is more expensive than the original date, an additional payment is required to cover the price difference. If the new date has a lower price, you are not entitled to a refund of the price difference.

    • In case of cancellation between 3 weeks and 1 business day before the start of the stay, there is no possibility to transfer the booking to another date. You will then receive a voucher of 25% of the booking value (rounded to the nearest value) to use for another booking within the same booking season.

    • In case of cancellation within 1 business day or early termination of the stay, the full booking amount is due and no refund is possible by BoerenBed.

Feather Down Sunninglye Farm is set in the midst of the beautiful High Weald of Kent nature reserve, close to the border of Kent and Sussex. This glamping farm is home to sheep, pigs, cats, dogs, a Shetland pony, the beloved Gypsy Cob horses, and donkey Norman. Surrounded by woodland and overlooking rolling fields, this is a paradise for children: they build dens, play on the swings, and can even pamper a pony. Sunninglye Farm is praised for its beautiful, peaceful location with breathtaking views over rolling fields. Guests are unanimously enthusiastic about the welcoming owners Jill and Jo, who are personally involved and go above and beyond to make everyone feel at home. Interaction with animals is a highlight: children thoroughly enjoy bottle-feeding lambs, tickling pigs, and meeting Nutmeg the horse and Norman the donkey. The range of activities is diverse, from kayaking on the private lake and raft building to walking through extensive fields, playing on swings and tyre swings, and baking pizzas in the pizza oven by the campfire.

    We absolutely loved our stay at the farm. It’s a true hidden gem, just an hour from London, yet it feels like you’re a world away. The setting is peaceful, beautiful, and perfect for switching off.
    Gill was incredibly welcoming and made us feel at home from the moment we arrived. The pond is such a lovely addition to the farm. It made our stay even more special.
    We can’t wait to come back and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a peaceful countryside escape.

    A brilliant stay with beautiful views. The accommodation was clean and comfortable and the honesty shop was a great help for getting those extra bits. We went for walks, built dens, fed the animals, went in a boat, made smores over the fire and even had a go at cooking in the pizza oven. Our kids loved the play area, particularly the tyre swing and tree house where they pretended it was their own little house and enjoyed lots of meals up there. Our host was very welcoming and made time to talk to us and check we were okay. Her dog was lovely too and great with our very young kids. We would love to come back again!

    جلسنا ليلتين في مزرعة “Feather Down Sunninglye Farm” وكانت تجربة رائعة. المكان هادئ وجميل ومليء بالطبيعة. فيه خراف وخيول ودجاج. جمعنا الحطب من الحقل واستخدمناه في الطبخ على النار والفرن الخشبي. في إحدى الليالي شغلوا فرن البيتزا وسوّينا بيتزا بأنفسنا وكانت لذيذة جداً. الأطفال استمتعوا كثيراً بوقت الحيوانات الساعة 10 صباحاً واستكشاف المزرعة. زرنا أيضاً حقل فيه ماء وركبنا قارب صغير وشاهدنا الأسماك. ما فيه كهرباء ولا دفايات، بس هذا الشيء خلّى التجربة مميزة أكثر. كل شيء كان بسيط وهادئ ويقربك من الطبيعة.

    We had the most fabulous time at Sunninglye Farm - our two boys just loved the freedom and getting stuck into the activities such as animal feeding and raft building and we loved the well equipped accommodation and beautiful scenery. Gill was a wonderful host, we couldn’t have asked for more and hope to return soon.

    We enjoyed Sunninglye so much we returned this year and it was just as great.||Fantastic experience and location. This year we booked the brunch and barbecue box. My favourite was the brunch followed by Raft Building. ||We had Toddlers, Teenagers, 20s, 30s, 50s and dogs. Thirteen of us and 3 dogs all had a fabulous experience. ||Thank you to Jo and Jill. Jo you must continue with the homemade jam. ||Hoping to return soon.
