Definitely a nice campground, but I cannot agree with the quietness others wrote about. While the residents in the campground per se are quiet, there is a rather noisy activity center. Quite audible stomping music from early afternoon into the evening, yesterday even until after eleven. Incomprehensible, because people do come here for the quiet I suppose. How do you kill an attractive campsite. For us at least, despite the otherwise nice place, no reason to repeat our stay. I must add that we were there on a long Whitsun weekend, and that the neighboring campground (San Lanaco) was also particularly noisy on Whit Sunday. Such a pity, because the place in itself, close to "the largest forest in Flanders", is ideal to enjoy the natural tranquility precisely. But apparently many people nowadays are too restless to appreciate the silence.

I stopped by on a holiday, without a reservation, kind of in luck. The reception was closed, but there is a column where you can check in electronically. The column unfortunately refused service, but a push on the bell at the barrier, and a few minutes later a friendly man opened the reception. I was lucky, there was still a spot during the busy extended weekend. I stayed only 1 night, and opted for a RV site (20€). The campground also offers pitches, tents and bungalows (if I'm not mistaken). Electricity, water are paid via a card which has 10€ as the starting amount. The unused amount is simply refunded upon check-out. The campground also has a tavern, whose kitchen is open until 9pm. Clean sanitary facilities, plenty of space, and for those with children I saw plenty of play opportunities. Thickly deserved 5 stars and to the campground staff: keep up this high standard of camping!
