Forest 4 with infrared sauna - 4 persons

A beautiful park surrounded by nature, though it’s very quiet and there isn’t much to do on the grounds. Still, I’d definitely recommend it if you’re looking to get away for a while. The room is a bit dark, but that’s fine when the weather’s nice. Air conditioning is really nice in the hot weather—at least you can sleep comfortably (which is also important).

Nice hotel room

Excellent hotel, great location, and the setting is beautiful. The only minor issue is the partition between the rooms on the terrace, which I unfortunately find a bit flimsy.

August 3–7, 2026.
When we arrived, we didn’t get the room we wanted at the hotel! Also, my husband (who has a disability and cannot walk) couldn’t get onto the balcony in his wheelchair. That was a real shame.
Fortunately, there was a very helpful staff member who immediately arranged for our luggage to be brought up and, shortly afterward, provided a ramp to the balcony. Thanks to this staff member, we had a fantastic midweek getaway and were able to enjoy a lovely cup of coffee on the balcony. She was very empathetic.

I expected more from a Landal park.

The park’s quiet location is its biggest plus. The cottages are spacious enough, the kitchen is fully equipped, and the bathroom and toilet were well-maintained. The shower worked well and the water drained just fine.

Unfortunately, for us, the downsides outweigh the upsides.

The access roads to the park are in very poor condition. There are many potholes in the asphalt, and the road surface is broken in several places.

Around the house and right next to the patio, there were many stinging nettles and prickly plants. Especially when you’re on vacation with children, you’d expect this to be better maintained.

In addition, the cottage was very dusty. For people with dust allergies, like me, that’s a serious problem, and it detracted from our stay.

We also found it disappointing that there were no window screens. You want to be able to ventilate the space without insects immediately coming inside.

Furthermore, the communication regarding the final cleaning was unclear. Upon arrival, you receive a lot of information, but no one mentioned that the fitted sheets on the mattresses and the duvets also had to be removed. As a result, we had to return to the accommodation after check-out to do this. That could easily have been prevented with clear instructions.

Finally, the so-called picnic area was very disappointing. It turned out to be nothing more than three picnic tables with no view whatsoever, surrounded by nettles and prickly plants. That doesn’t exactly invite you to use it.

For a Landal park, we had expected better maintenance, cleaner accommodations, and clearer communication. Because of these issues, we’re giving it 2 out of 5 stars.
