Look through the telescope at the Centre-Ardenne Observatory
The Centre-Ardenne Observatory is Wallonia's only public observatory and is located less than ten kilometres from the park. Various telescopes are set up in its six domes, including one of the most powerful in Belgium. Point the telescope yourself at the moon, planets or distant galaxies and discover the starry sky up close. The observatory regularly organises themed evenings and special activities. Be sure to check the programme in advance to see which activities are offered during your visit.

Cycle through the valleys around Neufchâteau
The region around Neufchâteau is criss-crossed by cycling routes that take you past streams, through green valleys and over wooded hills. Hire a bike and follow one of the signposted routes that depart from the town. Along the way, you can enjoy quiet roads, beautiful views and the varied nature of the Ardennes. Thanks to the rolling hills, the area is challenging without the routes becoming too strenuous. Pass through small villages along the way and take a break on a cosy terrace for a drink or a regional dish.
Water fun at Lake Neufchâteau
About a ten-minute drive away is Lake Neufchâteau, a wonderful destination for an active or relaxing day by the water. Take a refreshing dip, relax on the small beach or hire a kayak or pedalo to explore the lake from the water. It is also a lovely place for families, thanks to the playground and spacious sunbathing lawns along the shore. Fancy even more water fun? About a twenty-minute drive away, you can reach the River Semois, where you can swim, canoe or kayak among the green hills of the Ardennes. Several quiet little beaches line the river, where you can enjoy the view and the natural swimming water. An ideal setting for lovers of water and nature.
Discover Bouillon Castle and Orval Abbey
About a half-hour drive away is the impressive Bouillon Castle, one of Belgium's best-known medieval castles. The centuries-old fortress towers high above the River Semois and takes you back in time. Wander through the corridors, towers and courtyards, and enjoy the magnificent views over Bouillon and the surrounding Ardennes. Spectacular bird-of-prey shows are held regularly. Just over a half-hour drive away is Orval Abbey, world-famous for its Trappist beer and artisanal Orval cheese. Visit the museum, stroll past the atmospheric ruins of the old abbey and discover all about its rich history and centuries-old brewing tradition. In the abbey shop, you can of course take home a bottle of Orval or a piece of cheese as a tasty souvenir.

Firework-free: this holiday park is completely firework-free during the New Year period. You are therefore not allowed to set off fireworks – not even on a small scale – and this is actively monitored. This makes the park a pleasant place for those seeking peace and quiet during the holidays, for example if you have a pet or are visiting with young children who do not like fireworks. The park is also located in a municipality where fireworks are prohibited. Very few fireworks are therefore expected in the immediate area, although we cannot guarantee this completely.

We spent a week-long family vacation in the fall at this very quiet and spacious park. The accommodations were well-equipped and spaced far enough apart. The setting was beautiful overall. There were plenty of excursions and walks in the surrounding area. It was ideal for a rejuvenating vacation.

The tranquility of the place.
The rooms are tastefully decorated—modern and cozy.
The view from the room and the terrace is a real plus (even in the fall).
It’s clean, new, modern, and smells great everywhere—the hallways, the front desk, the rooms...
Admittedly, the activities are somewhat limited (hiking and biking), but you know what you’re getting into—it’s a return to peace and quiet and nature above all else ;)this is a translation, click here for the original

The cottages at this park are very impractical. The combination oven/microwave above the range hood is very dangerous, and you can’t see inside to check on your food.
The cottage we stayed in, No. 72, is very dark, so you basically have to keep the lights on all the time. The climate control is automatic and can’t be adjusted manually. Because … of this, we were cold and had to partially cover it with a cloth. Furthermore, in one of the bedrooms, you can only get into the bed from one side, so you have to climb over each other to get in or out of bed. The shower was fine—nothing to complain about.
We’ll never come back here again.this is a translation, click here for the original
