Stayed here for one night to visit Ghent (Gent), easy to find and check in was easy. Friendly staff on arrival and you can order croissants etc for the morning from reception. Large pitches with edges dividing each pitch, make sure you have long leads as the electric points are in one area for multiple pitches. Pitches can become muddy due to drainage but luckily it was dry on our stop. Showers were clean but water was cold when we showered, the site are doing lots of refurbishment so hopefully all the issues will be resolved, if they are this will be a 5 star site. Gent was a 50 minute walk away or you can catch the bus, also plenty to do around the site if you like sports etc. Overall the site did what we wanted to do so worth a visit.

We camped here with a small tent. The pitch was nice a dry. There was electricity available but you need an adaptor for campsite electrics which we didn’t realise. Staff on the front desk very helpful. There is a bus into the city a short walk from the campsite (and if you get it via the p+r it’s only 15 cents- however this is quite a walk and hard to find!) The sanitary building was clean and had nice hot water. There was some road noise on the campsite but not too bad that it disrupted our time. Lots of rabbits which were cute too!

We were at this place 1 week ago. What we liked: - Close to the beautiful old town of Ghent with excellent bus connections, - spacious pitches separated by hedges, - Very friendly and helpful staff, - Service with fresh baked goods, - adjacent pleasant recreational area What we didn't like: - Pitches hardly passable in rainy weather due to mud (there is no functioning drainage), - site disturbingly loud during the day due to the directly adjacent highway, bearable at night, - Sanitary buildings of varying quality, the predominantly old buildings are in great need of renovation. The site is more suitable for a short stay. The "feel-good atmosphere" is simply missing for a longer stay. Price-performance ratio borderline.

We stayed on the pitch for one night. It was extremely muddy and not really passable. There were two concreted strips, but our predecessors didn't use them and so the mud was pushed up on all sides right up to the strips. I think we should have been put in a different spot... there were Euro pallets everywhere that you could use to avoid having to stand with your feet in the mud - so it seems to be a known problem. Then there was only one electricity pylon for about 10 pitches. It was about 30 meters away from our pitch and our power cable was too short. We weren't informed of this beforehand or asked if our cable was long enough... The adjacent road was very noisy and there were many emergency vehicles with sirens. The town was very easy to reach by bike. There was a smell of sewage everywhere - especially near the old sanitary facilities. I used the new sanitary facilities to take a shower. The right-hand side shower was so hot that I could hardly stand it. I couldn't make it any colder - only warmer. All in all, we were very disappointed... the price-performance ratio was not right at all... What a shame.

Schade.

We happened to be at the CP during this year's marathon. Arrival and departure were no problem (you should avoid the start times). The reception was very nice and competent. Overall, the stay was ok. The CP of course scores with its proximity to the city, a little outside and therefore quite green. There was some street noise, more towards the morning of course. The toilets could have been cleaned a bit better, but that was fine. I can confirm the previously mentioned problem with the muddy pitches. When it rains a lot...well. We were really lucky with pitch 237. Once again there to enjoy Ghent...yes.
