    I had read some reviews about the restrooms. Had I known that, I wouldn’t have included it in my review. However, I’m doing so anyway because the rear restroom block is new and very nice. The campground is conveniently located for a visit to Ghent, and the adjacent swimming lake is a plus and worth a visit on a hot day. You can hear the road during the day, but that’s to be expected—it’s a city campground, after all.

    Ik las was reviews over sanitair. Dat wetende zou ook het niet meegenomen hebben in de review. Dat doe ik echter wel daar het achterste sanitair block nieuw is en erg mooi. De camping ligt gunstig voor een bezoek aan Gent en het naastgelegen Zwem meer is een pre en een bezoek waard op een warme dag. Wel hoor je de weg overdag, mag het is een city camping dus dat hoort erbij.

    Very disappointed. We booked this campground solely because of the event that was supposed to take place at the Blaarmeersen. When this event was canceled due to the heat, we wanted to cancel our reservation, but the campground refused to be accommodating. The proposed solution was inadequate, disappointing, and, in my opinion, shows little understanding of the guests’ situation. This leaves a very negative impression.

    Erg teleurgesteld. We boekten deze camping enkel vanwege het evenement dat op de Blaarmeersen zou plaatsvinden. Toen dit evenement werd geannuleerd vanwege de hitte, wilden we onze reservering annuleren, maar de camping weigerde hierin mee te denken. De voorgestelde oplossing was onvoldoende, teleurstellend en getuigt naar mijn mening van weinig begrip voor de situatie van de gasten. Dit laat een erg negatieve indruk achter.

    The location was superb, easy walk into Ypres. The site pitches were good, the facilities were clean but a little restricted due to improvements being made on new facilities by the new owners.
    Overall we very much enjoyed our stay
