Built in 2012, everything inside feels fresh and modern, but with the charm of a classic mountain cabin.

Almost the entire interior is finished in natural wood, giving the house a snug, alpine vibe. In the open-plan living area you can curl up by the wood stove, play games at the dining table or simply relax after a day outside. The modern kitchen is fully equipped with a dishwasher, oven and microwave, so cooking for the whole group is easy – whether you’re making a big breakfast or a relaxed late-night snack.

De Boshut offers three comfortable bedrooms: one with a double bed, one with two single beds and one with a bunk bed. Together with extra sleeping spots in the living area, the chalet is perfect for groups of up to eight people. The sleek bathroom with bathtub is ideal for a long soak after hiking or biking in the surrounding forests.

Step outside onto your private terrace, breathe in the fresh forest air and enjoy your morning coffee or evening drink on the garden furniture. You’re surrounded by trees, birds and wildlife, and the quiet, car-free setting makes it easy to fully disconnect. From your front door you can walk straight into the woods and onto the nearby nature trails.

De Boshut is located in the peaceful village of Oignies, in the Namur region. Spend the day exploring the Ardennes on foot or by bike, and then indulge in the local flavours. Nearby taverns serve hearty Belgian dishes and regional beers, or you can stock up on artisan cheeses, charcuterie and fresh bread in the surrounding villages to enjoy back at the chalet.
