I waited until today to write this because they were going to let me know if there would be any compensation. Of course, I had to call them myself just to be told “no.” Long story short, we rented a cottage, which was ridiculously expensive. And since there were cleaning fees included, you’d expect everything to be in order. But when we arrived (with a 2-year-old), we didn’t even have a fridge in that heat! It was broken, and the house was also dirty and filthy! This was confirmed by the concierge (who went to report it), then by the refrigerator technicians, and later even by the head of the cleaning crew, who actually ran his finger over the oven and saw just how filthy it was! You couldn’t even open the oven door—the dust would fall into the grease. Disgusting. I even wiped down the table and floor with a rag, and he looked on in amazement at how dirty it was! He asked what I should do; I said, “Either I clean everything myself and want compensation, or you send a cleaning crew right now!” I never saw anyone again, so I started cleaning everything myself—I can’t let our little one play in filth, can I? I had to wait until today to hear from Simita at the front desk that they’re not going to do anything! She also knew full well that it was true when I asked upon arrival to have the patio furniture cleaned right away—you couldn’t even sit on it because of the thick dust, dirt, and thick spiderwebs (hey, no, not just a one-day-old web). I want to warn everyone right now that it’s incredibly expensive and truly filthy! It could have been an oversight; I expected an apology and some form of compensation, but not even that! So here’s the one and only truth: spend your money elsewhere. Trust me.

Not recommended—there’s a serious lack of respect for other campers here. We stayed here for a few nights with our two children, and except for one night, there were parties every night that went on well past midnight. If it weren’t for the fact that, shortly after arriving, a local resident pointed out that we hadn’t parked our RV according to the rules and that we were going to be kicked off the campground because of it. Unfortunately, those same rules also state that there should be quiet hours between 10 p.m. and 7 a.m. The “advantage,” if you can call it that, is that the drunks sleep off their hangovers until noon. If you really want to camp here, try to book a spot near the cabins—it’s quieter there. Otherwise, I wouldn’t recommend it.

A large campground with good facilities in a good location, but unfortunately with significant hygiene issues in the restroom areas. There is clear room for improvement here.
