The region surrounding the resort is a paradise for outdoor families. Explore scenic cycling routes through pine forests and olive groves, or follow the gentle Parenzana Trail, a former railway turned into a family-friendly walking and biking path connecting picturesque Istrian villages. Nearby Lim Fjord Nature Reserve offers kayaking, hiking, and stunning viewpoints above turquoise waters. Families who love culture will enjoy wandering through Poreč’s UNESCO-listed Old Town, with its narrow streets, Roman ruins and the Euphrasian Basilica. A little inland, the hilltop villages of Motovun and Grožnjan showcase Istria’s artistic soul — cobblestone alleys, artisan shops, and charming cafés overlooking vineyards. Markets brim with local honey, truffles and olive oil, making it easy to experience authentic Istrian life. It’s a gentle mix of discovery and relaxation that families of all ages will remember long after the holiday ends.

Excursions and island experiences

Set sail from nearby marinas and discover Istria from the sea. Families can enjoy a glass-bottom boat ride, take a day trip to Rovinj, or join a sunset cruise to spot playful dolphins. For a touch of adventure, the Brijuni National Park islands—reachable by boat from Fažana—offer nature trails, a safari park, and archaeological sites perfect for young explorers. Back on land, evening markets and summer festivals fill nearby villages with music, crafts, and local food, creating the perfect blend of excitement and easygoing coastal charm.

IMPRESSIVE SYSTEM WITH A NOTICEABLE DIFFERENCE IN FOCUS The Istra Premium Camping Resort impresses with its ultra-modern architecture when you first drive in. The entire resort is visually in excellent condition; the work of the gardeners deserves particular praise. The planting around the chalets and glamping tents is beautifully laid out, well-tended and exudes a wonderful fragrance. However, a closer look reveals clear differences: SUCCESSFUL PITCHES: While the areas around the permanent accommodation (chalets/tents) are botanically perfect, the pitches for caravans and motorhomes appear less well-kept. You get the feeling that the classic camper is no longer the focus here. GAMBLE SEA VIEW: The pitches are nicely terraced, but even in the higher price categories, an unobstructed sea view is not guaranteed. You often have to choose your pitch carefully on site, as otherwise you will only have a view of the hillside or other vehicles instead of the Adriatic. TECHNICAL DEFICIENCIES: There is a certain maintenance backlog here. Water points splash uncontrollably and even at only 50% occupancy I didn't have enough hot water in the shower one evening at around 7pm. This does not match the high price structure. PIAZZA: The central square seems very small for the size of the resort. At full occupancy, you can expect massive crowds here. SAFETY & HYGIENE: The speed limit is often ignored without staff intervening. In addition, although reports of hygiene deficiencies (e.g. sporadic cleaning in the sanitary facilities) are kindly received at reception, they are sometimes only rectified after a 24-hour delay. CONCLUSIONS: A visually impressive and botanically very beautiful resort. However, for the "premium" promise to apply to all guests, the maintenance of the pitches would have to be tackled much more consistently. At the moment, it seems as if guests staying on the pitches are treated second-class compared to the rental accommodation.

Stayed 3 nights Flying stones against motorhome from useless brush cutter actions staff then loads of dust on your supper from leaf blowers up to 3 times alerted to this , saying sorry and just moving on. The center aisle is a highway of scooters, carts, place is not worth the money Staff bakery plaza was so not motivated to hear an order and then pins was the mental drop for her it seemed. For children there is plenty to do and there are plenty of them. Music until late at night echoes across the campsite unfortunately. Positives: several locations of cottages have nice views. Beautiful coastline.
