Baška
Baška, located on the southern side of the island of Krk, is known for its beautiful Vela Plaža, a 1.8 km long beach with crystal clear water. Besides sunbathing, you can also visit the Baška Aquarium here, where you can admire more than 100 species of fish and 400 species of shells and snails. In addition, the Baška Tablet, an important Croatian monument, can be viewed in the nearby church of St. Lucija in Jurandvor.
Malinska
Malinska, on the west coast of Krk, is a charming coastal town known for its beautiful beaches and lively promenade. A great campground near the town of Krk. Not as central as the other Valamar campground, but very quiet.
We stayed in a mobile home at Bella Vista Village. It was very nice, clean, and well-maintained. The entire campground was also always neat and clean.
We even got fresh towels in the mobile home after a few days.
We would have liked to have a dishwasher in the mobile home. This would probably save quite a bit of water, since it sometimes takes a very long time for the water to get warm enough for washing dishes, and people tend to let the water run for a long time here.
All the staff were friendly and helpful; minor issues were resolved immediately.
Bella Vista Village has its own pool with plenty of lounge chairs. It’s very nice, but could be a bit bigger and deeper.
The campground also offers a small but beautiful stretch of beach—it’s great for snorkeling. Sun loungers and the floating raft in the ocean cost extra (they’re apparently from a different provider).
There’s also another pool area. This one is a bit older and could be a little larger given the number of guests. The sun loungers in this area were also included.
Otherwise, the campground has a small supermarket with the essentials. It would be great if you could return all the returnable bottles on-site; as it is, many probably end up in the trash. For shopping, you’ll need a car to get to the larger supermarkets.
There’s also a sports field with activities for all ages.
We also tried the Oliva restaurant—the wood-fired pizza really won us over.

Ein toller Campingplatz in der Nähe der Stadt Krk. Nicht so zentral wie der andere Valamar Platz aber dafür sehr ruhig.
Wir hatten ein Mobile Home um Bella Vista Village. Dieses war sehr schön, sauber und gepflegt. Auch die gesamte Anlage war immer ordentlich und sauber.
Im Mobile Home gab es sogar nach ein paar Tagen frische Handtücher.
Wir hätten uns im Mobile Home eine Spülmaschine gewünscht. Dies würde wahrscheinlich auch einiges an Wasser sparen, da es zum Teil sehr lange dauert bis das Wasser zum Abwaschen warm wird und das Wasser hier lange laufen gelassen wird.
Alle Mitarbeiter waren nett und hilfsbereit, kleine Probleme wurden umgehend behoben.
Das Bella Vista Village hat einen eigenen Pool mit ausreichend Liegen. Dieser ist sehr schön, könnte aber ein bisschen größer und tiefer sein.
Der Campingplatz bietet sonst einen kleinen aber schönen Strandabschnitt, man kann toll schnorcheln. Liegen und Badeinsel im Meer kosten extra (sind wohl von einem anderen Anbieter)
Außerdem gibt es einen weiteren Poolbereich. Dieser ist schon etwas älter und könnte für die Anzahl an Gästen auch etwas größer sein. Die Liegen an diesem Bereich waren ebenfalls inklusive.
Sonst bietet der Campingplatz einen kleinen Supermarkt mit dem Nötigsten. Toll wäre es wenn man die ganzen Pfandflaschen vor Ort abgegeben könnte, so landen wahrscheinlich viele im Müll. Zum Einkaufen braucht man ein Auto um zu den großen Supermärkten zu gelangen.
Auch ein Sportplatz mit Programm für Groß und Klein ist geboten.
Das Restaurant Oliva haben wir ebenfalls getestet, die Pizza aus dem Holzofen hat uns überzeugt.
