Inside, the cottage is bright, spacious and cleverly designed. The large open-plan kitchen, dining and living area is the social heart of the house. Cook together in the fantastic, fully equipped kitchen, then sink into the cosy sofa corner with a glass of wine while you look out through the huge windows. Nature is always close here – you can gaze straight into the forest from the comfort of the living room.

The cottage has a big, stylish bathroom and sleeps up to 8 people, including a large 27 m² annex with two extra rooms – perfect if you’re travelling as a group and want a bit of privacy. Every detail has been carefully thought out, from the smart layout to the inviting decor. It’s the kind of place where you instantly feel at home.

Step outside and you’ll find several spacious terraces, both open and covered. There’s always a spot with sun or shelter where you can have a lazy breakfast, a long dinner or an evening drink. The sloping plot puts the house on top of a hill, giving you that special treetop feeling. Keep an eye out for local visitors: deer and squirrels regularly wander right up into the garden.

The large outdoor hot tub is the star of the show. Soak in the warm water under the open sky after a day of exploring Mols Bjerge National Park nearby. The hot tub isn’t available from 1 November to 1 April and, in colder periods, it might only reach full temperature the day after arrival, but it’s absolutely worth the wait. A serviceman reads the meters and fills the spa for you, and utilities are simply settled via a refundable deposit after your stay.

With the forest right on your doorstep, plenty of space to play in the garden, and the beautiful landscapes of Mols Bjerge close by, this is a brilliant base for hiking, cycling or simply unwinding together. Up to two dogs are welcome as well, so the whole crew can join. This cottage is not rented to youth groups, making it ideal for relaxed trips with friends who appreciate peace, nature and a bit of luxury.
