General information

This tastefully decorated safari tent has a living area of about 25 square meters with standing room in the entire tent and equipped with a lovely spacious terrace with awning.

The fully-equipped kitchen has a four-burner thermally protected gas stove and is on wheels that can be moved outside, so you can cook g**efully outside!

In the back of the tent are two sleeping cabins. One sleeping cabin has a double bed and the other sleeping cabin has two bunk beds.

Outside you will find a covered porch with garden furniture and a barbecue.

What you should know about the park

Just 600 km from the Netherlands and only 20 minutes from the Wadden Island of Rømø, with the widest sandy beach in Northern Europe, is Ballum campsite. This quiet and sheltered nature campsite on the edge of the Wadden Sea National Park is a paradise for birdwatchers, hikers and cyclists. Nearby you will find historic towns such as Tønder, Møgeltønder and Ribe. At the campsite there is plenty for the children to do while you enjoy the nature and surroundings.

    For me, it’s a 5 out of 5 stars. The campground is in a very quiet location and only a 35-minute drive from Rømø. The town of Ballum has plenty of hiking trails, and it’s also just a few minutes’ walk to the sea. The campground leaves nothing to be desired for me; they’ve thought of everyone—from bike packers to van lifers to massive RVs—there’s a spot for everyone here. The recreational options for kids are huge: slides, swings, a sandbox, a bouncy cushion, bikes, and much more! The restroom facilities are thoroughly cleaned, and there are plenty of them. The kiosk offers a small but good selection of everything you might need. There’s also a bike repair station and a large common room with a TV and a fireplace. The campground’s homemade pizza is delicious and piping hot.

    Für mich eine 5 von 5 Sternen. Der Platz ist sehr ruhig gelegen und nur 35min Fahrzeit von Rømø entfernt. Der Ort Ballum hat ein reichlich Wanderwege und zum Meer sind es zu Fuß ebenfalls nur ein paar Minuten. Der Platz lässt für mich keine Wünsche offen, es wurde an jeden gedacht von Bikepakern über Vanlifer oder auch riesige Wohnmobile hier findet jeder einen Platz. Das Freizeitangebot für Kinder ist riesig Rutschen, Schaukel, Sandkasten, Hüpfkissen, Fahrräder und vieles mehr! Die Santärenanlagen werden gründlich gereinigt und es gibt ausreichend viele davon. Der Kiosk bietet eine kleine aber gute Auswahl an allem was man so braucht. Eine Fahrrad Reparaturstation gibt es ebenfalls sowie einen großen Saal mit TV und Kamin. Die Hauseigene Pizza ist lecker und heiß.

    Ever since Linda and Klaas took over the campground, we’ve been coming to Ballum every year. It’s cozy, clean, quiet, and friendly.     A wonderful campground with very friendly owners who are always willing to help with anything. Beautiful, spacious sites in a natural setting. We were a group of 15 families and really enjoyed using the recreation area with its terrace. The restrooms and showers were kept spotlessly clean. All in all, you get a solid 10 from us.

    What a wonderful campground! So clean, quiet and such friendly owners and staff. The campground is located in a beautiful area and can act as a good base. For the inner man, I recommend a delicious stone oven pizza baked at the campground.
