Underground discoveries: caves & prehistory

For those who love mystery, history, and underground adventures, a visit to the impressive caves in the region is highly recommended. The Caverne du Pont-d'Arc is a life-size replica of the prehistoric cave with ancient wall paintings — fascinating for children and adults alike. Train rides & vélorail along the Doux Valley

If you want to alternate cycling or hiking with something unique, you can try the adventurous route of the historic steam train Train de l'Ardèche or ride the vélorail through the green Doux Valley. This route starts from a village just a few kilometers from the campsite and goes through forests, over viaducts, and along the water. It's a super fun activity for families with children or older walkers/cyclists. Along the way you pass picturesque villages, peaceful nature, and enjoy beautiful views of the landscape. A relaxing and atmospheric way to experience the Ardèche up close.

Tranquility, culture & gastronomy: villages, wine and countryside

For those who love peace, culture, and good food: the Ardèche is home to charming villages, rural landscapes, and local gastronomy. Stroll through narrow streets of historic villages, taste local wines from the vineyards in the region, or discover farm shops with regional products such as cheeses and chestnuts. Combine a peaceful hike with a visit to a wine tasting or a local market — perfect for couples, families with older children, or lovers of the French lifestyle. An ideal way to combine culture, nature, and relaxation.

We loved our stay in the wigwam, superbly located at the end of the campsite, with the birds and trees as visual and aural backdrop. The arrival dinner at the restaurant was welcome and very good. Thanks to our hosts and to Dano 😁

We had a great experience, thanks to a box. We tested the carpet lodge precisely. 5 days of change of scenery and peace and quiet, as the campsite is located in a confusing natural area on the banks of the river. Its pitches are large and offer a wide range of very original accommodation. We'll be back for more.
