La Dolce Via
This former railway line has been transformed into a safe, car-free cycling and walking route spanning 90 km. From the campsite, you can easily access this peaceful path along the Eyrieux River. The route winds through green valleys, past small bridges, shady forests, and cozy picnic spots. Ideal for families, hikers, and recreational cyclists. You can rent bikes at the campsite or in the village. Thanks to the flat surface, the route is also suitable for younger children. A relaxing way to actively discover the Ardèche.

Canoeing in the Gorges de l’Ardèche & Vallon-Pont-d’Arc
Just under an hour’s drive away lies Vallon-Pont-d’Arc, the gateway to the famous Gorges de l’Ardèche. Here you can take spectacular canoe trips through deep limestone gorges beneath the iconic Pont d’Arc: a natural arch bridge. Choose routes ranging from 6 to 30 kilometers, with or without rapids. Along the way, you can stop at pebble beaches, swim, and have a picnic. This experience is popular, so booking in advance is recommended. An absolute must for anyone who wants to experience the Ardèche at its best. The town of Vallon Pont D'Arc is also well worth a visit for a fun market, something to eat, or a drink.
Canyoning & rock climbing
For adventurous holidaymakers, the area offers plenty of sporty opportunities such as canyoning, climbing and abseiling. Around Saint-Sauveur-de-Montagut and Eyrieux Sport you can book guided tours, suitable for both beginners and advanced participants. Think of climbing along rock walls, descending into narrow gorges, or sliding down natural water slides. Perfect for teenagers, sporty families, or anyone who wants to do something active. The guides ensure safety and provide equipment. Make sure to book in advance during the high season.
Privas
Privas is the smallest prefecture town in France, but has a charming historic center. Wander through the narrow streets, visit the local market on Wednesdays and Saturdays, and taste the famous marrons glacés (candied chestnuts). In the summer there are lively evening markets and cultural events. The town is only a 15-minute drive from the campsite and is ideal for a short cultural outing or enjoying a drink on a French terrace. There are also several supermarkets and shops for your practical shopping needs.

A truly intimate campground (122 sites) in a beautiful setting.
Pros: Excellent service at the front desk. Very friendly and helpful female staff. Streamlined and quick check-in and check-out procedures. Clean and well-equipped mobile home.
There’s a bar and a restaurant—and even real campers!!! (That’s becoming so rare in “mobile home parks”).
Right next to the Dolce Via.
Cons: Unfriendly male staff; two school field trips all week long (about fifty teens) that were very, very noisy (and caused several conflicts at the pool); a TV that only worked on Monday (not a big deal for me), but what bothered me most was the maintenance of the pool (and its deck), which really needs to be improved. The attached photo showing the ladder was taken when the pool was first opened after being cleaned by a rather unmotivated robot on June 19, 2026, at 10:10 a.m. The one without the ladder was taken on June 18, 2026, at 1:50 p.m.
The photo of the pool deck was also taken on opening day.
I won’t even mention the concrete block just lying around…
I have NEVER seen a pool so poorly maintained, even at campsites with this much vegetation around them…
You really need to make an effort!this is a translation, click here for the original

A very nice campground—we had a great week there. The mobile home was clean, as were the restrooms, and we were able to enjoy the pool. There’s a river nearby where you can go for a walk or try stand-up paddleboarding. There’s a bar and a restaurant with a large patio; the food there is really good. We were warmly welcomed; it’s in a great location and very peaceful.
