La Dolce Via

This former railway line has been transformed into a safe, car-free cycling and walking route spanning 90 km. From the campsite, you can easily access this peaceful path along the Eyrieux River.     This campground is definitely not worth 4 stars. The mobile home is run-down. It’s not clean. The reception staff was cold; I felt like I was bothering them. The morning after we arrived, I reported a problem with the hot water—it was coming out very slowly—but apparently the young woman at the front desk had other things to do. I was asked to leave the front desk because she had to close it for 15 minutes (during business hours). As a result, we found ourselves without hot water that evening, and the front desk was closed. No on-call number!! So it was impossible to reach anyone. This is unacceptable! In the event of an emergency, a fire, or something else, how would that work?

    Camping ne vaut pas du tout 4 étoiles. Mobile home vieillissant. Pas propre. Accueil froid, l’impression de déranger. J’ai prévenu le lendemain matin de notre arrivée d’un problème d’eau chaude qui venait difficilement mais apparemment la jeune femme de l’accueil avait autre chose à faire. J’ai été conduite à sortir de l’accueil car elle devait fermé pour 15 minutes (pendant les horaires d’ouverture) Résultat nous nous retrouvons le soir sans eau chaude, l’accueil est fermé. Aucun numéro d’astreinte !! donc Impossible de joindre quelqu’un. Cela est inadmissible ! en cas d’urgence, incendie ou autre comment cela se passerait-il ?

    A pleasant campground, but it wasn't quite what we were looking for. We were on a cycling tour with our children and had booked two nights to rest and take a break from our trip.

    Unfortunately, music plays at the bar until midnight. Our site was right in the path of vacationers heading back to their accommodations, which added to the noise. Even after midnight, some people were talking very loudly, and our children couldn’t take it anymore.

    Other than that, the campground was fine. I also regret that the water games at the pool (the bucket that fills up and tips over) kept running all night, even though we were set up right next to them.

    I’m mainly deducting stars because the manager wouldn’t let us shorten our stay by one night and get a refund, even though our kids were really exhausted by the noise at night. Other campgrounds are usually more understanding in this kind of situation.

    Camping agréable, mais qui ne correspondait pas à ce que nous recherchions. Nous étions en itinérance à vélo avec des enfants et avions réservé deux nuits afin de nous reposer et faire une pause dans notre voyage.

    Malheureusement, de la musique est diffusée au bar jusqu'à minuit. Notre emplacement se trouvait sur le passage des vacanciers qui rentraient ensuite à leur logement, ce qui ajoutait encore du bruit. Même après minuit, certains parlaient très fort, et nos enfants n'en pouvaient plus.

    En dehors de cela, le camping était bien. Je regrette également que les jeux d'eau de la piscine (le seau qui se remplit et se renverse) continuent de fonctionner toute la nuit, alors que nous étions installés juste à côté.

    J'enlève surtout des étoiles parce que la responsable n'a pas accepté que nous écourtions notre séjour d'une nuit avec un remboursement, alors que nos enfants étaient vraiment épuisés par le bruit nocturne. D'autres campings se montrent généralement plus compréhensifs dans ce type de situation.

    We received a very warm welcome for our one-night stay—the four of us arrived with four bikes in the middle of a thunderstorm. The staff made sure to find us a sheltered spot to take cover. The restaurant was excellent. The staff were very welcoming and kind. Direct access to the river was really nice. The pool was inaccessible due to the thunderstorm.

    A very beautiful campground in the Eyrieux Valley—we had a wonderful vacation in an air-conditioned mobile home. The staff was very responsive to even the smallest technical issues; a special thank you to Jeff for his outstanding work in this regard. Thanks also to the ladies at the front desk, the manager, and the entire campground staff.
    The only thing I’d like to suggest is that there weren’t enough activities for adults right at the campground, but we were able to keep ourselves busy mostly outside.

    Très beau camping dans la vallée d'Eyrieux, nous avons passé de belles vacances avec un mobil 'home climatisé. Grande réactivité de l'équipe au moindre problème technique, un grand merci particulier à Jeff pour son travail remarquable à ce niveau. Merci également aux filles de l'accueil, la directrice et toute l'équipe qui travaille au camping.
    La seule chose que je voudrais suggérer, il manquait des activités pour les adultes sur place au camping, mais nous avons pu nous occuper essentiellement à l'extérieur.
